I’ve tried to eat here twice. The first time, the staff had no information about which foods were gluten free. The second time, the staff said if it was an allergy don’t eat here.
I was looking forward to eating here, and there were several to-go type options that were clearly labeled as gluten-free ( a brownie, a grain/veggie salad in a to-go container). ( I did purchase these, and they were delicious.) However, on two different days, multiple employees could not clarify basic questions about GF possibilities regarding their regular menu. I asked about dressings on several salads in the case, and about several meats and condiments and kept getting "IDK"/I'm not sure". Even when employees would check with another employee, there did not appear to be much certainty.
Yes
Cyd's has gluten free bread and sweets, which are delicious! However, whenever I tell them I have a sensitivity and order gluten free, they always include crackers or their homemade chips on my plate, which are not gluten free. To remedy the situation, they remove the chips covering my sandwich, and give the plate back to me. Their staff does not seem educated on the significance of gluten for a celiac customer. It makes me nervous ordering from them again.
Great gluten free bread and good bakery
