The staff was knowledgeable and then the owner came out to talk with me about the menu. She was helpful and kind and told me she prepares food in a separate skillet for Celiacs. My food was delicious — I ordered the crazy eggs as it was easily prepared separately and then they made me small corn cakes and a small cheese empanada as extras!
Colorful wall, plates, and doña. The amount and quality of fresh, authentic Venezuelan food is OUTSTANDING!!! No menu: she makes the healthy meals daily, and when it’s gone, she makes something else. The lunch is $15 and worth every morsel!!!! Street metered parking.
Love, love, love this place! She'll accommodate any allergy you have... even if she has to make something not on her current menu. The food is phenomenal. It's a little pricey, but considering the ingredients and the lack of sickness afterward, it's completely worth every penny. Don't go if you're in a hurry, because she makes everything from scratch. This isn't fast food, and it's definitely worth the wait.
This place is amazing. Janett is great and her food is delicious. I told her if my gf diet restrictions and asked for her recommendations. She made a great dinner of pulled pork, potatos, egg, and quiche. I will definitely be coming back every time through Montgomery!
Blown away! I honestly was surprised how good the food & service is here. Janet and her food are a rare find. Seriously, the experience rivals restaurants in Atlanta and Birmingham easily. When I called, she had already closed the restaurant between lunch and dinner. Hearing I was looking for a place requiring gluten-free accommodations and knowing how limited Montgomery is for people dining out gluten-free, she opened the restaurant an hour early just for me and my dining companion. Then, when she heard I was hoping for some gluten free pasta, she drove to the local Health Wise grocery store to get some. She answered all my questions satisfactorily about avoiding cross contamination with items containing gluten. She only uses chick pea or almond flour or corn meal flour, which makes things all the easier in that respect. She said she has several repeat customers requiring gluten free accommodations. That said, GF pasta with chicken soaked in coconut milk and zucchini and avocado was amazing. it was the most tender chicken I've ever had. The menu changes daily so check out her Facebook page or call first. I can't wait to get back for more of her chicken and the "magic sauce".
