Went there some years ago with my friends during a trip, it was the restaurant under our hotel and I was really surprised it was AIC (assosiacion of Italy for coeliac) certificated so 100% safe gluten free and specifically COELIAC FRIENDLY. Everything was perfect and I felt very happy, safe and completely free minded without any worry 💗
My family of 4 gluten intolerants had dinner here and really enjoyed it. They are very aware and have an extensive separate gluten-free menu. The steak my husband had was excellent and the pasta, pizza and osso bucco the rest of us had were tasty, too. Casual and friendly with great service. We really enjoyed it and felt very safe eating here.
I ordered homemade pasta with meat ragu sauce. It came with sliced bread. I wasn't impressed with the bread, but the fettuccine noodles and sauce were excellent. I also ordered toasted bruschetta topped with olive oil, tomatoes and basil. It was yummy, too.
My husband (not gf) ordered lasagna and loved it. The waitresses seemed knowledgeable about gf and made us feel welcome.
So so good!! Definitely recommend getting a reservation as it got very busy! The food was incredible! I had the wild boar ragu and my husband had the gf ravioli. The waiter promised the best gf ravioli ever and he was absolutely right! Very conscious of celiac with their AIC certification! Tons of options including a gf tiramisu!
We got there shortly before 8 and literally few minutes after the place was packed! Highly recommend making reservations if you’re getting there during high times. I am Gluten Free intolerant so they gave me a separate menu for GF. I personally ordered Gnocchi and Pizza. It was so tasty I can’t even explain in words. I wanted to order everything on the menu. Prices were fair and service was super nice and quick. Highly recommend!!!
Had the bruschetta and carbonara with gluten free bread/pasta. Delicious! Carbonara was a bit salty but I cleared my plate and enjoyed every bite!
This place is incredible!! I think it’s the best gluten free restaurant of any kind I’ve been to ever! I ordered the meatballs, pasta with truffle sauce, and the crème brule and tiramisu for desert, all of which were phenomenal! The gluten free bread was also fantastic. The gluten free menu includes basically all the items on the regular menu including hard to find items like meatballs and bruschetta. I will be returning to Florence for this restaurant!!
The food was delicious and service was excellent! Just as previous reviews mentioned, they asked if we needed gluten free as soon as we got there, and there were a lot of options (basically the whole regular menu was also in the gf one). They have a separate kitchen and are AIC certified—would highly recommend!
What a gem. GF menu, great food, great staff, quick service, ample sized portions, price/quality excellent.
This was our most favorite place for GF pasta. Incredible to be able to order apps too!
We had lovely meals here. Separate gf menu with lots to choose from. The fettuccine with truffle sauce was delicious. My husband enjoyed the beef stew with potatoes and the desserts were to die for! Creamy pistachio with chocolate crumble and the passion fruit crème brûlée are both highly recommended!
We only had a few hours in Florence - so after much research - we decided to spend our one dinner at Da Garibardi and we were not disappointed!
This was probably my favourite meal in our two week stay in Italy!
As soon as we sat down, the waiter asked if we needed a GF menu and immediately I felt at ease about eating here.
The GF options were extensive and I felt like a kid in a candy shop.
We started with GF bruschetta and the whole table agreed that it was the best we’ve ever eaten (even those who could eat gluten!)
I had the ravioli next, followed by panna cotta for dessert. It was all so delicious!
As an added bonus, the aperol spritz was sensational.
This would have to be the best food we've had throughout our whole European trip and we've had some great food. Separate GF menu which pretty much covers the whole menu and they have gluten reduced (GF here) Peroni, although we just drank Lemonchello Spritz the whole time. Highly recommend if you are in Florence.
Food was really good but I loved how proactive and allergen conscious the entire staff were. Immediately when we arrived we were asked if we wanted the “gluten free or normal menu?”. I had the ravioli and it was such a treat to have gf pasta that wasn’t just penne or a basic shape! First stuffed pasta in years! 10/10 would recommend whether you’re gf or not
Great food for both celiac and non members of our family. So good we went back 3 times in 3 days!! Everything could be made GF and we couldn’t tell the difference between GF and non-GF pasta. Servers were aware and careful and very helpful when too many options caused indecision on our part! Oh, and the GF flan and GF chocolate exploding dessert were to die for!!!
