Absolutely amazing. Ask for De’ Sean on Fridays and Saturdays! He is so thorough and helpful. I get the pulled chicken and double coleslaw. And he brings me a new clean bottle of sauce! I’m extremely sensitive and have had no issues. Great local spot with amazing food and people!!
Very good and very helpful! All the meats and sauces are gf, and most of the sides. They have one fryer, so anything fried is not safe if you have cross contact issues. These people are knowledgeable, and work with you. Highly recommend!
Yesterday was my first time ordering here. They just added online ordering (they are working out the kinks), which didn’t have gluten free info. But they were very helpful when I called to inquire. There is a place to indicate a gluten allergy. The food was delicious. I had the pulled pork, cole slaw, and potato salad, which tasted homemade. The fryer is not gf. I didn’t have any reactions and I will definitely be back on a regular basis.
The first thing the server did was go over the menu with me and explain what was gluten free. Meats and sauces are safe, as are many of the sides.
We had pulled pork, chopped chicken, green beans, and potato salad. It came out super fast and was super tasty. The pulled pork and green beans was my fave!
The only reason I gave 4 stars is because they aren't as up on their gluten-free awareness as they projected. I msged ahead to learn if they had gluten-free options, and was told which menu items are GF. Upon arrival reiterated that request and it was affirmed. The short version is: they do not have a dedicated fryer, so anything fried isn't GF. The meats and all sauces are, as are most of the vegetable sides. The food that I had was excellent. It's hard to find really good BBQ pork these days, because so many places try to do too many varieties instead of focusing on doing one perfectly. They really do a good job with their meats, and I was pleased with what I had. If you have food sensitivity issues, talk with someone in detail, first. They are very receptive to that interaction, and were willing to understand that a shared fryer negates anything being GF.
