Had a great experience here! Food was yummy, good vibes/friendly staff and the cocktails were great. However, you need to ask the right questions to eat here safely.
While many items are marked GF, they are not celiac safe as the proteins are cross-contaminated because of the way it’s prepared (I believe in a tandoori oven which also cooks breads like naan). For example, the chicken tikka masala curry is marked GF, but the chicken is cross-contaminated.
And it’s not just the proteins: The Kale Chat is marked GF, but the chickpea batter is cross-contaminated. We didn’t find this out until AFTER we ordered it as originally the waiter thought it was safe, and then the manager came out to let us know it wasn’t (which was very appreciated!).
I ended up with the cashew curry with chicken because that chicken is cooked separately, and was therefore safe. No reaction after eating. They also have GF roti!
Gluten free options are clearly marked. Server said all entrees were safe. The two curries we got were very yummy and I felt fine afterwards
There are many gluten free options clearly marked on the menu. However the server was quick to point out that most of the items marked gluten free are cross contaminated, either by the fryer or the tandoori oven. This left only a couple of items safe for celiacs, as most of the proteins are either pre-cooked in the tandoori oven or the fryer. Nice place, nice people, great smells, but unfortunately we had to leave without eating there..
Amazing food, wait staff is knowledgeable on GF and DF options and we had no crosscontamination issues. Only complaint is they don't mark cilantro on their dishes so I got surprise soap flavor several times. Tons of gf options, all wonderfully flavored!
