I haven’t had focaccia or pasta as good as Daniela’s since I was in Italy last summer! The meal began with housemade focaccia that was so good that I legitimately tear up, and at the staff’s recommendation, I ordered the SACCOTTINI DI GRANCHIO, which is ravioli stuffed with lump crab meat and shrimp, served in a light fresh cut tomato sance. For dessert, I had pana cotta topped with chocolate. It was refreshing to be able to have something at every course, and for all of it to taste so good.
I also really loved the ambiance of the restaurant and the service. The Sardinian wine my server recommended was also amazing. This is a place gluten-free and gluten-full people alike will love.
Delicious celiac-safe authentic Sardinian cuisine! The pasta was so delicious and they brought gluten free bread for the table. They have gluten free items marked on the menu and have gluten free dessert options too! Special shoutout to the Fungi Porcini pasta and the Tres Leches cake
They are so careful, y’all. They use separate pots and utensils for gf and even start over with clean pots and water for every order of gf pasta. They have gf foccacia which was so good it almost worried me. I also got the spinach ravioli and it was delicious. I should have saved room because they also have gf tiramisu (!!), but I was full.
Was planning to go to this restaurant for dinner; however, our plans changed. We were able to stop by earlier in the day to have coffee and desert. Excellent GF desert selection! We had the tiramisu cappuccino and the tres leches. Highly recommend!! Very tasty. Just wish I was able to come for dinner 😞.
This is the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to. Daniela, the chef, wakes up every morning and makes HOMEMADE past and gnocchi, INCLUDING gluten free pasta and gnocchi. When I tell you the gnocchi is to DIE for and I think about it, no, DREAM about it, I mean it. You have to try the marinara and pesto sauce combined with the gnocchi it is amazing. Also, the staff is very knowledgeable and kind. You really get the authentic Italy feel at this place!! They even have gluten free desert. Go here and experience joy.
This place has great food! All homemade. Many GF options - even tiramisu, and bread! It took a little while longer than usual to get our food, but they said it was because they had to boil separate water for my ravioli. I had the seafood ravioli and Cesar salad (with croutons!). It was delicious!!
Food is exceptional. Staff professional, great atmosphere. The homemade spinach and ricotta ravioli is outstanding
Wonderful experience! My husband and I went last Friday with some of our friends and everything was delicious! When I informed our server that I have Celiac, he reassured me that I would be fine. He quickly brought out gf bread for me, which was so unexpected but greatly appreciated! He was very knowledgeable about cross contamination and how to safely prepare and serve my food. The food was definitely traditional Sardegnian food. We lived there for five years(specifically Palau and LaMaddalena). The owner's son stopped by the table, so we were able to talk about Sardegna and how much each of us missed that beautiful place. We definitely enjoyed ourselves and will be back soon!
I ordered the gluten free gnocchi in red sauce, salad, but there were no desserts gf. It was delicious and they are willing to make dairy free gf pasta if called in ahead of time.
Fantastic! My daughter has celiac and so often she is limited with choices when eating out. Not only were there TONS of delicious gluten free choices, the server took great care with her food and explained the precautions they take. The homemade gluten free pasta here is AMAZING and they even have multiple GF dessert options. We had a really wonderful meal!
This place offers an INCREDIBLE selection of gluten free food! Pasta, desserts, bread, etc. the chef can make everything gluten free especially if you call in advance. I know the story behind this. She is from Sicily and moved here some years ago. Her son became friends with someone with celiac disease so she learned how to make Italian food for the friend. Now she offers it at her restaurant. And it’s all delicious!
Daniela's is a Sardinian/Italian restaurant, which generally isn't the first place a celiac would think to go, but that just makes it as t the more special. While they don't have GF pasta, they have GF ravioli & they make GF bread when you arrive. They are aware of cross contamination and are careful not to cook your food with other food. They don't have a GF menu, but are happy to tell you what they can make GF.Definitely worth it, as someone who rarely eats Italian Food.
