As mentioned in other reviews, they offer a cheese pizza cooked in a separate bag, so you know it's safe. Nothing fancy, but it's nice to know there is no cross contact.

We arrived shortly after they opened and the place was almost empty, which made it easier to find someone to ask about GF options. I was offered the same things listed in a previous review here, and ordered the GF cheese pizza. It is cooked to order inside of the bag it comes in, and comes with a disposable pizza cutter, which was great! It’s probably the safest GF pizza I’ve had outside my home. Unfortunately, it wasn’t very tasty - basic theme park cafeteria food - but I was nourished enough to enjoy the park until dinner!

Der Festhaus had some decent offerings that were gf. Our biggest “issue” here was tracking down the manager to discuss options. The establishment was quite busy, probably the busiest restaurant in the park, and this was at 2pm, so he was very busy going from point to point assisting folks. When I was able to somewhat corner the poor fellow he was very friendly and incredibly helpful. He advised of all the options, which honestly were quite extensive, and advised how to get the food prepared. They have a gf pizza but that has to be cooked to order obviously and can take awhile so we skipped that. Of the items available ala carte the chicken platter required no substitution, the sausage platter required to substitute out the knockwurst and the salads were all gf. We had a sausage platter and the salad with turkey and corned beef and both were good. They also had Gf David’s cookies and brownies so we grabbed a couple of those to take with us. I’m not sure if they had any gf beers or ciders on tap. A good experience and they have a show running several times a day as well. It just took us longer than expected because of how busy the manager was.
