Some of the best GF pizza I’ve ever had. Tiramisu was amazing as well.
Love this place! Great gluten free pizzas. Nice wine. Convivial atmosphere with mezzanine seating. A very nice GF dinner out in Amsterdam with my 14yo daughter. Lovely staff too.
Verse glutenvrije pizza, geen prefab bodem. Glutenvrij eten wordt in apart gedeelte van de keuken bereid. Eigenaar weet veel van coeliakie en is erg behulpzaam! Aanpassingen zijn geen enkel probleem. Ik en mijn dochter hebben weer eens erg genoten van een ‘echte’ pizza!🍕

All pizza’s can be ordered GF as well as most of the desserts like tiramisu etc. Very cosy and friendly staff
Wonderful place for GF and non GF people. As we are a mixed family of GF and Non GF it is always a challenge to find a place where everyone is happy. And we found it!!! The GF and non GF pizza’s and pastas are delicious. There is also a great selection of antpasti (also GF) and delicious deserts. Great friendly staff too!
Great service and safety. Menu is unmarked but staff are clear with what can and can’t be made gf. Pasta and pizza options. My pasta was delicious! Partner loved their non-gf pizza.
Amazing Italian for Amsterdam! Our waitress may have been new or perhaps there was a language barrier, but she was slightly confused about the gluten-free ask. We eventually got on the same page. The pasta menu changes every night so she checked with the kitchen to make sure what I wanted could be made gluten free. They have gluten free Pizza clearly marked on the menu, but they are also able to make some pasta dishes gluten free. They also have cute little mini gluten free cannoli and gluten free tiramisu. Great wine list and atmosphere.
Had the glutenfree pizza margherita and it was delicious. Also no stomach problems or anything. Would definitely recommend it!
Big of a communication issue to start but have gluten free pasta available and gf pizza bases at an addition cost, which I don’t like the idea of as being gluten free isn’t already hard enough Lovely service and food though
really good pizza!! they were able to be accommodating to dairy free but i still ate the cheese - gluten free tiramisu was very good and super rich
Gluten free options for pasta and pizza are marked on the menu. Not much choice if you also need dairy free.
I had a pizza with a GF salami and pine nuts. The GF crust is thin and very crisp. Tasty but hard to cut into slices!
They said it takes an additional 20 mins for GF pasta meals, they only cook the pasta as needed so it's fresh.

This is a great restaurant with very good gluten free pizza crust. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I come here every time I’m in Amsterdam.
The food was delicious and staff were very helpful and friendly. One of us is coeliac so we had to be very careful with gluten and cross contamination, there were no ill-effects from eating here. Would definitely go again and recommend to others. Thank you 😊

Great little place to enjoy a sit down meal. They didn’t have a gluten free menu that I saw, but the pizza section had a part about getting gluten free crusts. I saw online that they did pasta as well and asked about that since it wasn’t on the menu labeled. I opted for the pasta since the pizzas are made in the same place. Someone else in my party tried the gf pizza and really enjoyed it. They also had several gluten free desserts. Would come back to try again!
Such good pizza ! Great atmosphere. Did not get sick. I was a little worried about cross contamination. Had my activated charcoal ready haha. Overall really good!

Ordered a GF pizza. It was a decent crust—nice on the edges, a little soggy in the middle. Toppings were great. I was worried about cross-contamination from the oven, so I didn’t eat much of it. Had the tiramisu for dessert—that was yummy!
There might have been a gluten free menu, but the server didn’t give us one. We both had GF pizza and it was lovely. Other GF menus weren’t clear from the menu, but we also didn’t want anything else!
This place is so delicious. They had gf pasta and pizza. The pasta was amazing! And the pizza crust was ok. And they had gf cannolis!
Remembering our great experience at De Italiaan two years ago, we returned and were not disappointed! My husband has celiac disease, and this makes four dinners here that were absolutely delicious as well as safe for him. We had delicious pizza one night and returned with four other people for scrumptious pasta the next day. The staff could not possibly have been more helpful or pleasant. They helped with translation, switched our reservation from outside to indoors due to weather, and made splitting the bill for separate checks a simple task. If we return to Amsterdam, we will absolutely go back!
Friendly helpful staff. Had a discussion about our dietary needs -one cheese free and one coeliac. Staff were knowledgeable and reassuring. Food was delicious. Would definitely return.

It was safe and pretty good. Perhaps I didn’t make the best selection by ordering pizza—the crust is just never 100% satisfying to me. We had a burrata starter which was excellent. The pizza was good. I will say the ambiance was excellent, I would come again—but order something different.
My father and I had the best time here. Gluten free menu, great pizza and pasta options, helpful staff and lovely wine.
Had an amazing meal. Had the cheese and meat to start with, then the palms ham and mozzarella pizza and a tiramisu which was the best one I’ve ever had. Even got one to take away. Highly recommended
Absolutely fantastic! At first I saw the pizza and I thought it was really small and ugly for the price I payed...but then I tasted it and it was like an explosion of flavours in my mouth, It reminded me of the traditional Italian flavours... mind-blowing!
So surprised by the abundance of positive reviews. This restaurant is not safe for coeliacs. Most of the menu is not gluten free and as I was sitting next to the kitchen I could see how unsafe it was. Very busy kitchen preparing a lot of gluten meals at high speed. I asked the waiter to notify the chef that I was coeliac but he simply said that the pizza would go through the system as gluten free. Do not recommend.
Italian restaurant in a cute neighborhood. I had a gluten free pizza. It was cooked in a separate oven. Gluten free pasta was also available. Server was helpful. The pizza was good and I didn't get sick.

Heerlijk 4 gangen menu gegeten. De voorgerechten en het toetje waren voor iedereen glutenvrij. Pasta en pizza apart glutenvrij voor mij gemaakt .

Popped by for a drink to see if we liked the look of it (we did!) and glad we pre-booked as by 6pm they were turning people away. Absolutely beautiful vegetarian antipasto platter (aubergine mushroom Broad bean onion basil tomatoes rocket various cheeses. Was followed by gluten free pasta con vongole. No separate gluten free menu but lady said ‘she’d explain’. She never did l, so I asked waiter if I could order gluten free, my choices as above, were fine and got a nod. The food was absolutely beautiful and I was not sick at all. Not even a twinge. I would have preferred it if they’d put a stick in or a napkin to show mine was gluten free (my husband’s looked identical except for the slight shade difference in the pasta). Glad I trusted the waiter, who announced “gluten free” and put my dish down with a flourish as I wouldn’t have wanted to miss eating and drinking here. Outdoor tables have a heated seat pad should you need it and they offer a blanket when the sun goes in! I might move in!
Cosy restaurant with lovely terrace. Tasty Italian food, we tried the GF pasta con carne. You can choose between 2 portion sizes for pasta: small and normal. Be aware that small is really small (child-size).

The food was amazing. I had a burrata salad as well as a gluten free chefs choice pizza. They were 10/10. I am still thinking about the burrata salad days later. Unfortunately about an hour after eating I got very sick which has me feeling that there was some kind of cross contamination of gluten somewhere in my meal. This was quite disheartening as I had done research on this app in advance and spoke to the server about gluten free options as well as cross contamination but as it’s a pizza kitchen I know it must be easy to get small traces of gluten in other spots. If you’re not celiac I would definitely recommend this place because the service was great and the food was delicious but I’m not sure I would go again due to the fact of getting sick.
Absolutely delicious food. They can make almost all pizza and pastas GF and have separate cooking surfaces so it’s really safe.
Excellent gluten-free options. The staff knows what they are doing. I was impressed by the Tiramisu as it taste like real Italian homemade.

A family diner with one celiac at De Italiaan was relaxed and delicious. Staff was very knowledgeable about cross contamination. All pasta and pizzas are available gluten free. Ou daughter loved the pizza. The gluten free tiramisu was absolutely fantastic! We can highly recommend this restaurant.
