De Smet Mercantile & Coffeehouse

This is a great little shop. Pastry case is mostly GF/DF items — muffins, brownies, cookies. They make sandwiches with GF bread on request. The GF bread is somewhere between a biscuit and an English muffin, kinda crumbly. Good ingredients and selection, better than I was expecting in this small town, and good coffee/espresso drinks too.

Stumbled across this great cafe, with a bookstore and gift shop in the front! They have gluten-free baked goods from a dedicated kitchen. They do gluten free sandwiches on a separate board, utensils, etc. Very friendly staff and very accommodating. They even have gluten free cones!!
