Went on a tour of Union Station and this is the only restaurant in the area which was open that had gluten free food. The waitress had little idea of what I was talking about but gave the information os my allergy to the cooking staff. I always have an omelet and hash browns at Denny's as it is naturally gluten free. They have gluten free English muffins but are cross contaminated during the toasting so not safe for me.
Gluten free items are marked on the menu. the staff double and triple checked that everything i ordered was okay. they had an alergen list that they brought out to make sure everything was okay for me. I didn't ask about cross contamination because it doesnt bother me. overall they do pretty well with celiac.
I hate to leave this negative review. When I normally get a to-go order in the evening, the waitress and manager always double-check my order. They make sure my cheese is removed (I have a dairy allergy too.) and they remove any bread from my order.
I had a breakfast order today. I asked to have the cheese removed. Denny's used to serve gluten-free English muffins. I asked my waitress if they had any today. She replied that they did. I made my order. The cheese was on my plate and she gave me a normal English muffin. The waitress had an attitude when I politely asked her to remake my order. I also was not refunded for the gluten-free English muffin that I never received. I told the cashier what happened. She replied that they do not sell gluten-free English muffins anymore even though it was written on my receipt. I have been wheat/gluten/dairy-free for over a year and a half now. The longer I do not eat these foods, the worse my allergic reactions are when I am exposed to them. I wish the workers today took my allergies as seriously as the other workers at this establishment previously have.
I had the 55+ Omelette with hash browns and without toast to make it gluten free. The menu is clearly marked as to what is gluten free. It also gives a warning about cross contamination and that they do not have everything needed for celiacs.
We were looking for a restaurant on a Sunday on interstate 65 near Montgomery, Alabama. Couldn't find any on this app that we open so we stopped at this Dennys for brunch. On the over 55 menu, the Omlettes and some other items were marked how to order them gluten-free, no toast. When I got my order, they also sent out a gluten-free English muffin, on the side, to my surprise. I forgot to ask if they toasted it in a dedicated toaster so if you order their ask. Friendly wait staff. Checked on use to see if we needed anything several times. We stopped there at noon and wasn't to busy.
