This place really took care of us - knew what was and wasn’t GF and clearly marked the food so we felt confident it was safe coming out of the kitchen. No GF fryer, though.

Probably the best burger I’ve ever had. My server was amazing. He asked if I had celiac, then let the kitchen know before putting in my order. The homemade buns are delicious, arguably the best gluten free buns ever. They also have a dedicated gluten free fryer so no worries about getting fries! I will definitely be visiting this place again!

Gluten free bread available and designated gluten friendly food available. Server asked if I had celiac when I ordered to let the kitchen know. Food was very good, even had dessert options (plural and not just ice cream!!!)

GF buns baked IN HOUSE. Need I say more?! Place was delicious and the burger was phenomenal. The homemade bun soaked up all the grease. And the fries were great and the serve asked if I wanted them cooked in the dedicated fryer. Legit place for us!

Server said she had celiac and assured me that everything would be made in a separate dedicated gf kitchen. Got a burger with gf bun and garlic fries and they came out clearly marked allergy- very delicious and absolutely no problems. Fabulous.

The menu is clearly marked, the waiter was knowledgeable, and they had a separate gluten free fryer. My meal came out with a flag marking “allergy”.

We stopped in for dinner Thursday with a group and I ordered a pub burger with a smoked chicken breast instead of hamburger. That was a mistake—the smoked chicken was gross—but the bun was amazing and held up really well. Best of all, the fries were cooked in their dedicated fryer so safe, plentiful, and perfectly crispy. Their GF beer is fine but I didn’t like the cider (and usually live a dry cider.) I didn’t have any reaction after, so despite not being the best meal, it was safe.

Selection was very limited when ordering online, but I was craving a burger and they came through with a very yummy cheeseburger. Next time I'm in town, I will try the in-restaurant experience, since based on Find Me Gluten Free reviews it sounds like the selection may be expanded vs. what's available online.
I always worry when ordering online from a place that handles tons of gluten. I had no need to worry with my burger and fries, since I felt no effects of cross-contamination. Would definitely eat here again.

Wow! Such a great place. The Burger and the quinoa sandwich are delicious. There is a gluten free beer (IPA) tasting like a reel beer. The staff is really cool and comprehensive about coeliac people. Lot of fun at the bar.

I have celiac disease and my wife and I have eaten here more times than I can count. Awesome burgers, fries and a sorghum beer that is great. always awesome service. never have had a reaction. Love this place!!

Solid experience and great staff. Our waitress was able to indicate celiac vs. just gluten sensitivities. The chocolate cheesecake is so fun!

Love these guys and what they're able to provide. Great location and Portland experience. Always busy and happening. Bring your own GF knowledge and ask questions. They'll take it seriously.
So good, my server was very knowledgeable on celiac requirements. He checked with the sous chef before letting me put in my order. The sous chef ensured he would take care of it.. and he did, no problems! I will definitely be back for the bacon jam burger with gf fried fries.
Yes
I explained my burger needs to be gluten free, so they served me a patty with spring salad topped on it, they forgot the condiments on my burger as well. I was confused and tried talking with the waiter. He told me after the fact that they don’t have gluten free buns and they don’t do lettuce wraps. Over priced for what you get and zero communication between the staff. No apologies either, just a take it or leave it attitude.
gluten free beer, IPA. really good. no dedicated fryers or spaces. gets pretty busy, i’m not 100% sure i would trust it unless you’re getting something simple like a salad. three stars because i don’t like when places label things that are GF when they’re really not.
Great gluten free options. Had the pub burger and it was delicious!
Yes
They accommodate food allergies. I called to ask about their menu and they put the chef on the phone. He said he would accommodate my daughter’s peanut, tree nut, and wheat allergies. She ordered the ribeye with mashed potatoes and fried green beans. We also ordered the pork and grits. Everything had great flavor! So good! My husband loved the beer choice our waiter recommended. This place is awesome and the atmosphere was so relaxed.
They DO have a dedicated fryer per my server today! The fries with manchengo and aioli were delicious. I had a cider and the burrata and beets salad - the granola croutons were left off. Great food and great service.
Yes
House made GF bread? Yes!! Elk burger is outstanding. Staff is amazing, knowledgeable, honest! No, they don't have a GF fryer but every server tells you that right away. Props for honesty and knowledge. Not celiac friendly. Beer is amazing!
I wish they would bring back the gf ale. Not an ipa fan.
EDITED TO UPDATE: I feel they used to be safe and ever since about a year or two ago, they have changed their menu and food handling practices in terms of shared fryer, etc. I only will drink the beer now with extreme caution and since there are other safer, GF breweries in town, there is no reason to go there unless your there with out of town folks. Bummer! I deleted the part about being yummy and celiac safe. I’m sure it’s still yummy, but way too busy for safe celiac measures.
No
Great drink options. 2 ciders and GF IPA. I was really disappointed that they no longer have a separate fryer. Cannot get Pig Wings, French Fries, anything fried :(. Please please get a separate frylator
Yes
A lot of GF options for both food and drink. Server was very knowledgeable of allergy list and double checked everything with the chef.
Yes
Very little I could eat (they managed to give me a steak with kale chips on the side, that's it.) Also had the gluten free beer.
I got VERY sick. Don't know if it was the food or the beer... they make the beer around a bunch of gluteny beers, so I'm sure it's not 100% safe.
Will never eat here again!

I've gone here three times. The first two times went great, but the last was during a very busy night and I got very ill. Celiacs take caution when it's crowded.
No
I have Celiac disease and ate at the Pearl Deschutes brewery with no issues. Our waiter was knowledgeable about cross-contamination and told me their cooks are too. They have a separate fryer and a few good GF beer options.
Yes
Was nervous given we went on a busy Saturday night and it's a brewery! Experience was excellent. Waiter very knowledgeable and kind. My daughter who is very sensitive did not get sick. We ordered very simply- burger with no sauces and plain fries.
Yes
gluten free IPA, mid rare burger with amazing bread, fries, good service. happiness.
Yes
The best steak frites - and a dedicated fryer
Yes
Several gluten free options. Their gf bun was great. Super soft. They had GF Groundbreaker IPA #5 on draft as well as a cider made in their main brewery. Both were great. The waitress was great at helping with questions. Ate here two nights. Would go back again!!!!
Meh. I was hear 4 years ago and it's more or less the same. They offer gluten free bread for your sandwich/burger and that's fine. They didn't have any gluten free beer (just cider). The food was ok and service was ok. I'd recommend trying one of the many many other places with gf options that Portland has to offer.
One of my best GF meals ever! Server was super knowledgable. Highly recommend.
Yes
Best gluten-free beer ever! My favorite place to eat in Portland. Super yummy burgers and fries (try the garlic ones). And super yummy desserts. Try the GF peanut butter icebox pie. Also very kid friendly.
Yes
Love the choices. They even had a GF crusted bread like a baguette. I had the elk burger on a GF bun. Super good bread and salad. Great GF beer. Awesome.
Celiac friendly and great food! The gf beer on tap is a dedicated gf tap line, so no cross contamination! I also appreciated how CELIAC aware the staff is.
Yes
I have been told by several servers there that there fryer is not a dedicated gluten free fryer but "gluten burns off at such a high heat so it's safe." That is not how it works and could make someone with celiac severely sick!! They may have other things that are safer but I have to give them 1 star for the misinformation they are passing on!
Gluten free beer was great! I had the grill cheese and tomato soup! So good!
