Update, restaurant is permanently closed :(
This is one of the best restaurants I have dined at since being diagnosed with celiac disease 8 years ago. I am very sensitive to gluten cross-contamination and ate here without feeling a trace of gluten. Even better - the food was fantastic! I ordered Huevos Rancheros and my non-celiac boyfriend ordered Key Lime Stuffed Pancakes (this was a special and not on the menu). The food was fresh and flavorful - I've never had a better egg dish! I also ordered a latte which was equally impressive, and we enjoyed the buy one get one free mimosa special. The atmosphere is charming and comfortable. Although this is centrally located, it's off the overcrowded Duval Street. We lucked out by getting the window seat and watching the local passersby. Both of us would have loved to stay and have another round of Mimosas just to enjoy the atmosphere, but our time in Key West was limited to a few hours. All the staff were equally amazing as they were attentive, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and had a great team-oriented service style. We cannot wait to return and dine here again and again! P.S. Their wine selection looked amazing!
Not the best food I've ever eaten but it was nice to have options. The burger was like a giant meatball and was hard to eat on the crumbly gf bun. Chips were good. Didn't get glutened.
This place is great. Staff is wonderful food is fantastic. Had fish tocos. My husband also loved the food he is not gluten free. Nice menu for all
Wow! This meal was probably the best we’ve ever had in Key West and it’s our fifth trip here. My wife’s tuna dish had sesame seeds, avocado, sliced ginger, and wasabi seaweed, almost like deconstructed sushi rolls. My red snapper had a six-spice rub that gave it a complex zing, accompanied by terrific roasted Brussels sprouts. They had a GF menu available and our server really seemed to understand what that means and double-checked with the chef about whether or not the soy sauce in the Jamaican jerk sauce had wheat in it (it did, so I got the six-spice). Celiac-friendly, well-educated chef and server. Intimately small (make reservations!) So yummy! 3 hours later now and I’m still feeling great.
Definitely make a reservation here! It’s a small place so they fill up quickly, but they have a separate GF menu that includes pizza, burgers, and the fresh catch of the day among other things. The staff was super knowledgeable and asked if I had celiac right away before preparing my meal. Everything was delicious. Don’t miss this spot in Key West if you are GF!
I had a pizza to lunch, she was very good but after that I became sick, the next day wasn't good.
Fantastic pizza and flourless chocolate cake. Very small place, but worth the short wait.
Staff rocked! There are many options and the food is tasty. I got the lobster pizza and many other things (I went there twice). Always tasty and Scott was awesome! Definitely recommend it. (Shared fryer so avoid fried stuff, which includes bacon and sausage. SO many other things: gf English muffin, pancakes, crackers, etc.)
My wife is celiac, she had to order pizza because the other two things she selected in the menu were unavailable. Pizza was spicy and we cannot say for sure this place is safe.
Very good food. The waitress seemed to know what she was talking about and the kitchen was careful with my food. They had a lot of options and even a gluten free chocolate cake. Would definitely recommend!
They can't make bacon gluten free due to the oil it's cooked in. Deep fried. So weird. I can usually get gluten free bacon anywhere! Atmosphere not great. No outdoor seating. But they have gf pancakes, which by the way don't taste good. I would not come back for breakfast. Husbands meal not good either.
Separate gf menu and some of the Specials of the Day are/could be gf. Pizza isn't on the little gf menu, but has its own special page in the main menu. Very good GF crust. Crispy! Waitress warned us about the risk of cross contamination in the oven, but we decided to risk it. (Still feel fine) The place is TINY! (18 seats at tables. 8 seats at the bar. Make reservations!) The staff is sweet and knowledgeable. Food was delicious. Nice variety of wines and gf ciders.
absolutely great staff and amazing food!! bar tender was great with her suggestions! went back for breakfast next morning and was not disappointed!! definitely a must!!! They have gluten free menus and are very accommodating on regular menu as well!!
Separate gluten free menu. Excellent knowledgeable staff and fantastic food.
Great breakfast, no issues
Simply amazing! Great tasting food and celiac friendly.
Knowledgeable staff, separate GF menu to tell you what is safe. Had very yummy shrimp tacos and the sangria was excellent!
very nice staff, very knowledgeable on celiac. I would go again!
We love this place. On our last visit we went for breakfast. I had a gluten free lobster/cheese/tomato omelette. It was really good. Unfortunately the home fries are off limits for Celiacs as they are fried in the same oil as the breaded items. I also had an awesome bloody mary. :) This place is really small so if you go at prime time you may have to wait outside. They do take reservations.
Delicious fish tacos. Very yummy. The coleslaw was awesome. They make it to order. Great sangria. Fresh made.
Knowledgeable staff, many options. I had lobster pizza no problems
Staff very friendly and food excellent. I had the citrus seared hogfish sandwhich on Gluten-free white bread. Bread fell apart as I was eating, but I'm not holding that against the restaurant.
Amazing! One of the best restaurants ever! As a former chef and now celiac this is an amazing group of people who truly care when you say gluten free! The food was out of bounds! My husband who is not gluten free was also thrilled about the food. Ask for Sophia she makes the experience so wonderful!
Absolutely delicious meal and superb service! Waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable about gluten free options and asked about sensitivity to non dedicated fryers and soy. Would definitely go back!
I had the shrimp and grits and it was super tasty! I didn't get sick!
Place was ok. Brought me out my meal with fried food as a side - they do not have a dedicated fryer. I caught it right away and they fixed it.
Great GF pizza options. As a celiac, I was able to eat here and did not get sick. I had the Bellisimo pizza and it was an awesome cold left over - which is extremely rare in the GF world of pizza.
The place is small, so make reservations. I called and made reservations made sure they had GF items. When we arrived, we were shown to the table and they had a GF menu already there. The special of the day, Triple tail on spinach risotto was phenomenal. The wood fired pizzas was delicious. The grouper we ordered was slightly over done, but good overall dish. Reasonably priced.
Had lunch here- it was wonderful. The hogfish taco on corn tortilla and the gyro with homemade coleslaw were great. Wish we had more days here to explore more options here- there are so many. Celiac a are full of gluten free options here in Key West. By the way only lunch can be ordered to go
GF menu and dessert. Small, fresh and excellent service. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reservations for dinner a must.
Very good breakfast. I had the gluten free pancakes and they were the best I've had. Our server Scott, took Celiac very seriously and assured me my food would be carefully prepared. He also made me a gf Bloody Mary which was very spicy - loved it. Great experience and I would highly recommend!
Super American/Greek resturant. Separate Gluten free menu! Very tasty. Gets busy and is small so book if possible.
Yummy fish tacos! Fabulous service! Would definitely come back
French onion burger sans gravy was delicious!!
OMG! The best gluten free menu for breakfast-lunch-dinner. Friendliest staff, great atmosphere. This is a must for your trip!
Great place! Pizza is awesome! Fish is fresh, entire menu with great choices! Highly recommend! Must stop!
Great food...very knowledgable about Gluten Free...Good GF options, including buns, bread and pizza crust. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Fresh seafood and lots of options to choose from including daily specials.
Great food with nice waiters who are willing to answer any questions. Many gluten free options! Yum yum.
We stopped here while walking our dog one evening. Based on another review we thought we would be able to order "to go" since they don't accommodate dogs or have outside dining. Roland, came out and stood at podium telling us about their menus. We make our decision and ask to place an order to go. He promptly says, "we don't do to go orders for dinner, only lunch. Chef doesn't want to compromise the quality of the food." He didn't bother to even give the option to get Pizza or Salad, which are on lunch & dinner menus. Sad to say, due to Roland's cold and unwelcoming manner and the "chefs rule" on to go's, they not only missed out on our $50 order, (which was pizza & salad) but they also will miss out on all future business from a long term local customer. I'm guessing the owner might not agree with this way of handling the chefs policy. I know I wouldn't be if I owned the place.
The lobster pie pizza is absolutely amazing! Only an extra $1 for gluten-free. My husband had the seared tuna blt (not gf) and raved about it. Ordered Togo since no outside seating for people with pets. Did have a water bowl & treats for our dog as we waited. Hostess was polite and thoughtful. Will eat here again b4 this vacation is over. Yum!
Great gluten-free pizza, many other items. Pizza is amazing.
