Fast, friendly service. The smoked meats are gluten free and the baked potato is enormous! I am celiac and the staff was very accommodating. They were more than happy to modify my meal to keep it safe.

I went into Dickies tonight and they now carry deep fried onion rings so the fries are no longer gluten free😢

First, this place is always great for the whole family. Great food. But they always have GF meat, and the baked potato casserole is also GF. Finish it off with free ice cream in your cup, and then pour some root beer over it. We do this place a lot!!

Great place to get authentic Texas BBQ!! I had a free sandwich for my Birthday so I ordered the meat separated from the bun. I told the man cutting the meat I had an allergy. He then proceeded to clean the cutting space, changed his gloves after he touched my bun, and again washed the cutting board!! Amazing!! I have been here at least 4 times and never got sick from the meat. They also have frozen ice milk for dessert that is gf. I will come again and again!

Staff was very knowledgeable about what I can eat with Celiacs Disease. They immediately changed gloves and brought out a new cutting board and knife to prepare my food. They also knew which sides I could eat. Highly recommend!

On vacation and my daughter ate so much here! Allergies: dairy, wheat, treenut, peanut, fish and shellfish. She ate the ribs, brisket and turkey. If you go to their website there is an allergen information list where you can see what items are safe. Just speak to the staff to inquire prior to ordering ... we will definitely be back!!!! Thank you Dickey’s for a wonderful and safe meal !!!!

Nima tested chicken pork and beef and all were safe. I have to ask them not to pack the bread with the meat. The sides have tested positive at times for gluten. Huge risk for cross contamination here.

Have eaten at a different Dickeys location and was fine. This location was empty and not clean and the employee didn't understand gluten free. She got someone else and when asked if the pulled pork was gluten free she said it should be it ain't got nothing in it. Not risking that.

****UPDATE: I believe this location is now closed.**** ORIGINAL: They do not have a separate gluten-free menu, but on their website you can find nutritional information containing allergens as well. Staff was friendly, and advised me on what to eat to be safe. They cleaned and sanitized the cooking area, even though cross-contamination isn't a problem for me. Great food, decent prices. Will definitely be going back.

We did well here and did not get sick. You just have to make sure they dont put the bun on your tray. I used their online allergen information menu. Unlike every other place in Fort Stockton most of their main options are not automatically covered in gluten.

As soon as I mentioned I couldn't have gluten, the staff immediately changed gloves, cutting board, and changed out utensils. They knew exactly what I could and couldn't have. I felt very comfortable eating here and did not get sick.

Staff was great about knowing which sides were gf! Meat was delicious!

The manager was helpful, and immediately brought out their ingredients binder. Only the buns, mac and cheese and possibly another side contained gluten, so I wasn’t limited in picking my meat, sides, and sauce. The food was very good! I would return.

This place is wonderful. We originally checked their Allergen chart and found items that didn't contain gluten so, we took the chance. When arrived and told them that the husband has celiac disease they, knew to change gloves and shut the line line down to clean everything and then his items were pulled from the cooler and other areas. We were told that they had some oj ne who had sensitivities so, they understood the importance. Will definitely be going back.

Once I told them gluten free they changed gloves and brought out a new cutting board. The manager has celiac and told me which sides were safe - mac and cheese and fries were only two I couldn’t have (although he said he has fries and doesn’t get sick even though they’re cooked in a shared fryer with gluten). I’ll definitely be back.

Dickey’s Manager, Jeremy, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable of all food allergies. He gave us an allergen menu which included gluten free options. All meats and some sides are gluten free. Explained that they thoroughly clean a dedicated area of the kitchen to prepare the gluten free items offered. Great food also!!

Ate here tonight with my family. I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to eat anything. As soon as I mentioned Celiac the employee immediately removed gloves, washed hands, put on new gloves, got a clean knife and cutting board. They made sure to keep the meats totally separate from the gluten containing sides.

The owner’s wife has an extreme gluten sensitivity/disorder so they understand the importance of no cross contamination. Everything except for the Mac and cheese, bread, and spinach is gluten free. The owner is exceptional and the staff always changes gloves for gluten issues. My mom and I both have Celiac and have yet to have a problem here.

staff immediately changed gloves, covered their board grabbed a fresh knife and meat. :)

All the meats and sauces are gluten free! Including many of their sides. The staff here was very nice and helpful! One of the workers Mom has Celiac so he was very knowledgeable about it and helped us out, even by checking labels and ingredients.

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. As other reviews noted, the manager explained he has celiac disease and took the time to walk me through all of the celiac friendly options they could offer. He changed his gloves, grabbed a clean board and prepared my meal himself while offering suggestions. I highly recommend this location.

Excellent BBQ! Meat chopped fresh in front of you. Staff had a gluten free menu behind the counter and was knowledgeable about changing gloves. He did forget and almost put bread on the meat tray, so watch carefully.

Like other locations, this place is not very aware of what gluten is. My understanding from reading a blog and asking the employees was that the meats and some of the sides were gluten free, but I wasn't reassured by the employees. I also can't really judge from my reactions if it was gluten free or not, but I can say that the ribs and sauce taste great.

They had no idea what we were talking about. They also kept messing up and when asked multiple times for no bread, they put bread on my tray. Their remedy was to just take it off.

The counter person told me that she was not allowed to tell me what was gluten free and directed me to a catering book in the front of the store. Made a sandwich for another person but would not change gloves when getting my sides afterwards. Not worth the risk of cross contamination to eat here.

They nailed it! Sam, on the meat cutting board, read ingredients, knew to change his gloves, get a clean knife, and got a clean cutting board. We thoroughly enjoyed the brisket (sliced), and a rack of ribs. Since he was not certain their sauce was safe we agreed to get our own sauce (this was take-out). Like a taste of home, it was wonderful! We’ll absolutely be back!

Good smoked meats and delicious sides. Almost all is GF other than the obvious items (bread, mac & cheese). Dan, the owner, and his staff are well aware of the need to avoid cross contamination and go through a strict protocol when you mention alergens. When we asked about gluten free, he asked: "Is it Celiac or an allergy?" THe place is not real fancy, but the food is good!

ALWAYS accommodating to our family’s allergies! They have an allergy list with ingredients used in all their products. Just tell them your allergies (gluten, dairy, etc) when you order and they’re happy to help! They wash hands, get a new slab of meat, new knife , cutting board, etc when you order. Annnnnd it’s seriously so delicious!

I asked about gluten free options because I had seen online that they have many. The lady behind the counter told me that if I wanted low fat options I was in the wrong place. We left.

This place said they couldn't help us get our gluten free food because the whole counter is covered in gluten and they didn't have time to help us. Would never go there again. "What do u want me to do about it" -guy we were ordering our food from.

If you're in Fort Stockton and you're hungry, this place will do you right. Their spice rub and sauces are wheat free. Ask them to skip the roll and change their gloves, and most things on the menu should be okay. While not first class TX BBQ, the food is fine, fast and filling and the restaurant and bathrooms are clean.

Went in to find an allergen list right at the front of the ordering line which made my choices very easy! Many different BBQ meat choices including chicken, brisket and pork. Several sides which are gluten-free including the BBQ beans.
