I’ve gone to Jane G’s quite a few times and have always enjoyed the food. They have GF shrimp dumplings, pad Thai, and other dishes. I’m kind of disappointed because their banana leaf sticky rice, which was one of my favorite dishes to get, was recently made no longer GF. They said that it now has soy sauce in the dish. I think they have good food, but I think their variety could use some expanding.
It was good they have a separate GF and vegetarian menu.
My go-to place for Thai food in the area! So good and I have never gotten sick at the University City location. I did get very sick at the Rittenhouse location and I have not been back there since. Also at Rittenhouse they didn’t seem to understand gf so when I ordered pad thai they gave me rice noodles with a side of what they claimed to be gluten free soy sauce, which tasted bad and got me sick. But University City pad thai, fried rice, and shrimp dumplings are always amazing and super safe. Waiters also understand gluten free and are happy to accommodate.
I thought I would have to give up dim sum until I found this place! Shrimp dumplings amazing! Fried rice with crab and mushrooms even more amazing :) Definitely stopping here when I’m in Philly.
Amazing food. Not a ton of gf options but all the gf food I tried was great. My party thought the portions would be smaller so we ordered a lot. So heads up that the portions are pretty big here. Shrimp dumplings, beef soup, black mushroom bok choy, and authentic/traditional fried rice were gf favorites for everyone.
Ordered for delivery, all good tasty and no bad reaction from my wife. Appreciate the items being marked on menu
Crazy interesting foods delivered to my hotel! I love the pork fried rice and the shrimp are big in the glass dumplings. I also ordered the stuffed banana leaf. Different but good. Sweet Sticky rice with shrimp, sausage, and I think some nuts and/or beans wrapped in a banana leaf. Lots of leftovers!
My girlfriend and I got the Crystal Shrimp Dumplings, West Lake Beef Soup, Double Cooked Pork, and Black Mushroom Bok Choi along with a few cocktails. The portions were big and the food was great! They have GF options marked on the menu, and can make some of the dishes GF if you ask. The only issue was the GF dumplings were served with a non-GF sauce…good thing I asked before trying it. Overall, a good experience. We’ll definitely go back :)
