Dingo Deli has a big Gluten Free sign which immediately drew me in. They have a designated GF menu and the owner talked to me in regard to always a chance of cross contamination but they do take great care. I had the strawberry tart and coffee and both were amazing and I had no reaction. I usually react within 10 mins so always hang around just in case. The service was excellent, enough so that I went back for lunch. I had a Ham, cheese, tomato, lettuce and mayo sandwich. The bread was great and didn't need to be toasted. I took away with me a GF cheesecake, which was frozen so I was able to get it back to the hotel not melted away. When I was leaving I was told to always ensure to tell them I am coeliac and they will ensure the kitchen staff are informed. Great food, great service and I will definitely be returning.

I do NOT recommend this place for those with celiac disease. Against my better judgement, I ate here last night (shared 2 pizzas with my partner) and ended up with an extremely violent reaction. I typically will have mild symptoms with a small amount of cross-contamination, but I was so sick that I was vomiting and am still experience severe stomach issues the next day. This is only the third time in 17 years (since my diagnosis) that I have had such a bad reaction which leads me to believe there was a large amount of gluten present.

I noticed that a review was posted last night about someone eating a gf pizza and having no reaction, which makes it seem like there are a lot of inconsistencies happening in the kitchen and eating here would be very much a gamble for anyone that is symptomatic when “glutened”

Also, since a previous review mentioned the BBQ sauce likely contains gluten, my partner and I avoided the BBQ chicken pizza and ordered the Hawaiian and Salami. I’m guessing the issue might be in the handling of the crust or the actual types of flour being used to make the gf bases

We sell 10 plus gluten free pizza every day and the bases are made on demand in a hygiene environment

We use rice flour, tapioca flour and corn starch for our pizza bases

We warn celiac intolerant customers that we take many precautions as we can but in a functioning kitchen and bakery that there could be some cross contamination and the pizza are baked on a clean steel plate but in the same oven as our other pizzas

I have celiac since I was 5 and I travel the world quite often and I must recommend this restaurant, very sterile, one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Great quality, good value for money, a lot of different options and very welcoming service. Thank you 🙏

⚠ CAUTION-NOT CELIAC SAFE⚠ Many dishes that are labelled gluten free, are not gluten free!

I saw raving reviews about this restaurant and was so excited to try it. I never find gluten free shepard’s pie and bangers and mash, so I wanted to order both. When I asked the owner if they are gluten free, the owner assured me it is. Then, I asked if the gravy has wheat flour in it, and the owners wife told me that it does. The owner seemed shocked to hear this. He later told me that he has asked the chef to use corn starch instead of wheat flour in the gravy. He is definitely trying to make it safe for those with allergies, but as of now, it is not safe to eat.

He also told me a story about how they’ve only ever had one celiac get sick at his restaurant before. This person ordered a pizza and the owner investigated the ingredients after they became sick. He found that they used a BBQ sauce that contains wheat.

The other thing that shocked me, is that he told me that all of the food that is grilled, is grilled on the same cooktop as the wheat flour pancakes. He said that they clean the grill after every food with hot water, but this isn’t sufficient for celiacs because your eggs, or burger, will be cooked on the exact same place as pancakes.

I did eat breakfast here after asking the owner and his wife about all of the ingredients and they confirmed they could cook it on a separate surface. They are learning from their mistakes and trying to change when people become sick, but I would say eat at your own risk.

Edit: The reply from the owner is wild. They told me they use wheat flour in the gravy and apologized greatly. I’m not sure why they would lie about this now. You can’t claim to have gluten free food and not make people with allergies sick if you “may not know that some ingredients may contain some flour”.

If this was the case why would she and her partner who is also celiac eat here twice they must have felt that it was safe for them to eat here

We sever hundreds of very happy gluten intolerant customers

We caution celiac customers that we could have some cross contamination as we are also a bakery or may not know that some ingredients may contain some flour but we are extremely careful in the preparation of preparing food for celiac customers

We use gluten free Demi glaze for our gravy Our sausage and burger patties do not have any gluten fillers and all our gluten free bread, pizza bases and cakes are prepared in a highly hygiene standard

This pizza was amazing! The crust was really good and tastes ‘normal’ The waiter asked me if I was avoiding gluten or was a celiac. I felt safe from that moment 😄 100% recommend this restaurant. Also had many other gf options

I ate here twice, it was a nice break from Vietnamese food. I had the gf salami pizza without the cheese which was great and ordered a BLT on gf bread for takeout to take with me on a tour. Both were really delicious and I didn’t have any reactions - always a plus! Would definitely recommend ☺

The options are fantastic and they have a big kitchen which gave me confidence that they were preventing cross contamination. All food was great, I went back 3 times and was not disappointed once. I met with the owner when there and he was fabulous, couldn’t accommodate us enough, explained why he found gluten free options so important and their passion for food. We had a great time everytime. It’s also a great place to grab some gluten-free items like pasta if you’re staying for a while as the local supermarkets do not offer this.

Great GF options well marked on the menu, asked about chips being fried in the same frier and it was all done separately. The owner popped over and was really passionate about offering gluten free, they had cereal, pasta and you can order gluten free bread with a three hour turn around. They can’t 100% guarantee but they do everything they can for safety. Food was super tasty and we visited several times!

Note that if you order a GF loaf it’s a fresh bread loaf so will only last a day or two.

This place has gluten items marked on the menu so I ordered the sausage and mash. I will be honest the good isn't amazing. I did ask about my sausage as it looked a like under cook but the waitress said it was ok, I only had one of the sausage ( as this looked better cooked) I wouldn't go back there, but I had no problems after eating there. Good to know there is somewhere safe. Though when I was double checking about the sausage and the gravy the lady did seem a bit confused as to what I was asking her.

Great place to come for gluten free food! I asked the server about cooking fries and pizza separately - all good! And for the club they toast the bread separately too. The owner also came out and spoke to us - a lovely man who also told us about how they keep gf safe 😊 As we’re travelling for a while I do a lot of cooking myself at our air bnb so this was so nice to come out and not have to worry! We came for lunch which I find the most hard to cater for so this place was just brilliant! And we picked up some gluten free goodies in the store as well for our dinner that evening 😁

The base is made from scratch, the kitchen is carefully managed from a GF perspective. The owners are very caring and attentive.

The best place in Hoi An for Gluten Free Western Food. We’ve eaten here several times this trip with no issues. From pizza to pasta, sandwiches to curries, Dingo Deli have it! The owner knows all about Celiac disease and offers a separate gluten free menu. At the front of the restaurant there is a little mart that sells gluten free snacks and Aussie treats like cornflakes etc. This place has been a life saver and the food is amazing.

Long story short ate here twice, no reaction the first time. Second time was today and I’ve been bloating and vomiting for hours. Worst glutening I’ve had in years and a classic bad reaction for me so I know for as sure as you really can that it was from Dingo’s.

I ate the BBQ chicken pizza, and confirmed the sauce was GF and they would cook it on a clean separate pan using google translate and some English. The staff told me “yes we have served thousands like you” and I’m like yes, but I still have to ask these things or I’ll get sick. *2 hours later*….🫠

Idk what it was, the base was definitely GF (you can tell) so it was either baaaad cross contact or gluten in the BBQ sauce.

Either way this place is NOT worth it.

They have a own gluten-free menu. You can buy gluten-free bread, it was a little dry but ok. I had to order gluten-free bread a day before because they are making it there. A good and safe place.

Great place! They have gluten free bread so you can make your own sandwich there. They have a list of what is gluten free on their computer so all of the waiters are well informed. The owner informed me that both the breakfast sausage and the dinner sausage are gluten free. They also have lots of gluten free products on the shelf if you want to take some home.

It was a great place to eat at and coffee was good. They had Gluten free options. They know what gluten free.
