Ordered from here for the first time and was skeptical that it would be safe given that there's no info to be found online indicating that they're dedicated GF, other than in this app. I put notes on every item I ordered asking them to cancel the order if no longer dedicated GF, due to "allergy" (celiac, but restaurants tend to "get it" and take it more seriously when I say allergy). After eating these leftovers for 3 days in a row, I can confirm I am pleasantly surprised and excited to have a new place to safely order from!
Here's where the food shines and where it doesn't:
✓ Carnitas tacos and Chili plantains are a must!
✓ Rotisserie chicken is great too.
- Rice and beans were dry and bland but were easily fixed up by reheating in a pan with some chicken broth, pressed garlic, lime, and cilantro.
- Not impressed with the cauliflower, but my roommate liked it.
× Skip the tinga tacos. I have no idea how the rotisserie chicken is so good but these tacos are... not.
They threw in a bunch of freebies with my order too, like extra tacos and extra rice and beans on top of what I ordered. Not sure if that's typical or if I ordered close to closing time and they just needed to get rid of it.
Will definitely be ordering from here more often, but will keep adding notes to my order about needing GF, in case they change any ingredients. I'd feel more confident if their website or social media indicated that they're dedicated GF on purpose!
