I was thrilled to find they have GF deep dish pizza. It was pretty close to what I remember of a great deep dish pizza made with wheat dough (back before developing food allergies). I stopped ordering and eating GF pizza for many years because I always got sick afterward - no matter the restaurant. I decided to take a chance based on other reviews, and this is the 1st time I've been able to eat pizza from an actual pizza place without side effects. Really good pizza!

Delicious gf pizza - best deep dish I’ve had. They appear to take precautions to avoid cross contamination- no issues. It’s connected to a great frozen yogurt shop that has gf flavors labeled.

The gf deep dish pizza was fantastic. We got a small gf pesto pizza and a 14" meat lovers. Both were awesome.

I order the pesto chicken gluten free pizza every time and have never been disappointed! It is by far my favorite GF pizza and the staff knows how to handle GF items.

This pizza place was recommended to us by another gluten-free family with several Celiac members and they have never had a problem ordering from Donati's.
While Donati's is very upfront about not being a completely gluten free facility because they share the same oven (which is known to burn off any gluten no matter where you purchase pizza), any gluten free crust is already made and then assembled upfront, where no other pizzas or flour are. They also make sure they change their gloves every time they are handling a gluten free crust.
Yes
I’m giving them a four because I love that they have the options of deep dish or thin crust (which are ok...kinda your run of the mill GF crust) and because you design the pizza yourself you can choose if there are additional things you do or don’t want such as dairy. Lactose intolerance is very common for people with celiac and so it’s nice to get something like a pizza at a pizza place. It’s actually really good without the cheese if you get the olive oil drizzled over the pizza😜 they are usually great about changing out their gloves and being cautious for cross-contamination but the pizzas are made in the same area as the regular ones so if you are supersensitive I would maybe avoid.
Yes
Ordered gf pizza. After testing with my Nima tester, result was gluten found. Although the restaurant claims they can make gf, it isn’t.
No
The staff wasn’t knowledgeable besides the manager. It is not celiac friendly at all and definitely has cross contamination.
No
They have a gluten free thin crust and their version of a deep dish crust for pizza and they both are delicious. They also have other items that are naturally gluten free such as the stuffed peppers on the appetizer menu but the facility is not gluten free.
