Doro was one of our favorite dining experiences before my celiac diagnosis and this was the first time we’d been back since then. We thought about calling ahead to ask about gluten free but decided to roll the dice - only because we knew how fresh and custom everything they make would be.
We sat at the chef’s counter and again had just as an amazing experience as we always have. We told our waitress about the celiac disease and she said “not a problem - our menu is probably 80% gluten free anyways and most anything (except the pork schnitzel) can be modified.” She was right. All 3 apps were as is and amazing and the soup was gluten free (although not our favorite).
When the meals are this well thought through, and I have more than one item I could easily choose, I prefer to pick the one that has to be modified the least (hopefully, in this case, not at all). That way you’re not messing with the chefs creation and enjoying it as intended.
I always highly recommend Doro as an elite dining experience. Prices of eating out are crazy but the value of what you get, the thoughtful presentation, great flavor combinations and relaxing environment makes it well worth it.
