Celiac friendly

There are many options here for gluten free! We ordered a gluten free dish for our Celiac son, and they accidentally brought it out with chips (which are not gf - they fry them in a shared fryer). They immediately apologised and remade the meal (and let us keep the contaminated one for free). Yes they made a mistake, but they fixed it quickly and happily. They were all just so friendly and nice - and the food was fantastic!!!

They have a gluten-free menu but trying to order off of it incurs the wrath of the staff. The chips are NOT gluten-free, they're cooked in the same oil as everything else. The rice and beans are safe, but half the time if you specify rice and beans your order comes out covered in chips anyway. Last time that happened I asked them to remake the food and I'm not sure that they did, because I wound up sick afterwards. They really don't like being asked about specific ingredients in food (I went with someone who's allergic to soy). They act like it's a huge inconvenience to them that they have to make sure your order is safe to eat. Not going back.

NOT CELIAC FRIENDLY. We bought one of their salads and explained in detail our wheat allergy, and that we needed a corn tortilla, not wheat. They even wrote “wheat allergy” on the order slip. After waiting about 20 minutes for them to make a salad when it wasn’t very busy, we had to grab the sack and jump on the airplane. At which point, we discovered that they had served the salad on a wheat tortilla. For real. I emailed them about a refund, which was promised. But more than a month later I don’t have my money back. Overall, a very negative experience.

Even eating off their gf menu, my son and I both got sick. Tried 2x just in case (it was my college favorite) and never again.

Was traveling through Davis and ate here early on a Saturday evening. The woman who took my order at the counter was very friendly and knowledgeable, but I should have known not to eat here because they were very, very busy and I could see the open kitchen was a disaster. Got sick. : (

I love dos coyotes. I've been eating here for years. I get the Paella Bowl, with a side of corn tortillas instead of chips, as the chips are friend in a shared fryer.

Even though I followed all their recommendations and asked extensive questions I got sick. I think they must use flour and gluten in everything.

They do have a gluten free menu, but much of their meats have gluten in them. Every time I have eaten there I have become sick. No dedicated fryer.

This restaurant is excellent! They have a separate GF menu that is extensive, and the staff is knowledgeable. I never have any difficulties eating here.

Gluten free menu, but say no to the chips as they are cross-contaminated. Very friendly staff and the food is always great.

Very knowledgeable about gluten-free and dairy-free preparation. They were kind and patient helping make good food selections from their menu. Don't get the chips though; they are cross contaminated.

Horrible! I ordered the Yucatan salad from their gluten free salad and got really sick the next day. Looking at the kitchen I was very skeptical but decided to order because I was really craving for a salad. Turns out I was right to be fearful.

They have a gluten free menu! And they make sure the food is cooked on a separate fryer (or tortillas wrapped in foil).

The folks here work really hard to prevent cross contamination. It's important to be specific with your needs; but, they will work to accommodate. When an error was made, they do not hesitate to make a complete correction (remade the food, or whatever). I wish that the chips were fried in a dedicated frier; but, we slip over to the grocery store next door and often get a small bag. Never the less, a great option for us!

They are much more aware and prepared to offer gluten free! Great options and a separate gluten free menu!! Love it!

No complaints. Fast food. Generous portions. The server was careful to warn me not to have tortilla chips given that they are fried in the same fat as gluten-containing items.

Ask questions, don't just rely on the gf menu. The fried plantains in one gf salad are fried in the same oil as wheat so watch out.
