Wow, what a fantastic little place. With both sweet and savoury pancake options we were totally stuffed. Well worth a visit xx
Called in for coffee and cakes having seen it on the app as we were in York for a few days. Wasn’t disappointed. Gluten free pancakes - great selection and tasted amazing! It was a fantastic find and a great holiday treat - hoping to go back before we leave. Everything is labelled and the waiter was also coeliac so put our minds at rest.
Great food with a wide selection of fillings, both sweet and savoury. Our two children have ceoliac disease, and all but two fillings were available to them. Our fantastic server said she had ceoliac so this installed the confidence so often lacking when eating out. It was great to support an independent with charm and character.
Brilliant little place that I found through this app. Most of the menu can be made gf / df / vegan. Staff very knowledgeable, felt very looked after and safe. Excellent customer service. Amazing pancakes! Had bacon and maple syrup - wish we were there longer we would have gone back again. Been dreaming of it since we came home! Highly recommend! They have upstairs seating so is much bigger than it looks when you enter.
Fantastic breakfast and they are very aware and proactive upon customer’s arrival. Tons to choose from - savory and sweet. Great experience.
Amazing crepe style pancakes. I tried both a sweet and a savoury pancake, and both were delicious. Almost all pancakes on the menu can be made gf. The gf ones are prepped on a separate pan with separate utensils, and staff change gloves. They even gave me a gf biscuit with my tea! A must for gf visitors to York!
Lovely small little café! I ordered the chicken and bacon bbq melt savoury pancake and my husband ordered the Greek savoury pancake which had olives feta, peppers etc. The food tasted great but it was quite pricey for what you got. You got one pancake the size of a standard dinner plate topped with a few toppings and they were about £10 each so very pricey! We had 2 savoury pancakes, 2 strawberry milkshakes and a child’s sweet pancake and it came to just under £40! Very expensive for what it is. They were very clued up on gluten free and my husband who is coeliac was perfectly fine after eating there and he is very sensitive to gluten. I would go back again but maybe just for a sweet one.
Very friendly staff and many gluten free options, even dessert.
We went there on Thursday for breakfast. I had a pancake with bacon and maple syrup. It was excellent. I’ve never been there. It’s a quirky looking place with very friendly people working there. It was very easy to order and I believe you could get all of the menu with gluten free bases. I had no reaction but happiness.
Excellent understanding of cross contamination
All pancakes available as gluten free, even a gluten free biscuit with the coffee.
Delicious Eton Mess pancake, well worth a visit
