Do NOT go here if you are celiac. When I went here I was so excited that they had gf options. I told the owner and the waitress that I was celiac and that I need everything separate and can't have any cross contact. They assured me that everything was safe. I got very bloated the next day ( thought it may have been from the sodium but definitely was gluten). I attempted to try it again a year later. When I called and asked if they could make it gluten free they said no problem. I told them again that I was celiac and needed it separate. They said that they use the same utensils, the same wok for everything and that it isn't possible to have it completely gluten free. If it is NOT gf do NOT state on your menu that it is! This may be fine for gluten sensitive but I was super disappointed about this and the fact that they reassured me everything was safe the first time when it wasn't at all.
— Not at all
— Gluten-free items are marked on the main menu
— Not Much/None
I wish I had the experience of the 5* reviewer. When we sat down and I had a good look at the menu, I was pleasantly surprised by all of the options labeled “GF” which down at the bottom indicated these items were “gluten free”. However, when the food was delivered to the table, the waitress placed my food down and pointed to the sauce in a bowl next to my plate and said that I couldn’t actually eat that because it’s not gluten free. I am grateful that she actually said something but would have appreciated if she had mentioned the elimination of this key part of the dish prior to being served it so I could choose to order something else. Their solution to my sauceless egg foo yung was to hand me some gluten free soy sauce packets. Apparently most of the dishes labeled GF are served with heavy modifications and eliminations and you had better ask what they change or you could end up with an omelette and soy sauce. We did mention to the manager that it would be good to label it slightly differently with wording like “can be made gluten friendly” because the “gluten free” designation is misleading. He was not receptive to that and talked of how labeling it as such would cut into his business and he can not accommodate every allergy...he didn’t quite make sense...
The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful at making sure my meal was gluten free. They don’t have a dedicated cooking space, but the food is phenomenal and the chef will omit flour in areas where he can to make the sauces gluten free too.
