What delicious fish and chips!!! My son and I both had a large haddock and chips (mine is in the photo, minus the end of the fish, as I was starving!). No repercussions. No other options on Deliveroo apart from haddock. We had a brownie with cream for pudding, but not until a lot later, as we were stuffed!!!

Tasty Fish and chips cooked in Beef dripping, fried in separate fryer. Vinegars are all G3, staff very conscientious.

They have a separate fryer for gluten free food. Was advised May have to wait as they needed to heat the fryer, this wasn’t a problem. GF fish and chips was in a different take away container so could tell straight away. They had GF vinegar to.

Wow!! Just wow!! Dedicated GF fryer, knowledgeable, friendly staff and the food . . . Just delicious! Portions are a good size, not greasy and my husband and 2 daughters (muggles) were as enthusiastic about their meals (especially the gravy). Worth seeking it out if you're visiting York, takeaway or eat in. If you asknfor a GF menu, they explain that any fish is gf as they have a dedicated fryer.

This restaurant cooks their food in beef dripping, so avoid if you are vegetarian or pescatarian.

I thought this was takeaway only, but there’s a whole seating area in back. I had the GF fish and chips and they were great. I didn’t have any reaction afterward. Even had GF vinegar, which I’ve never seen as an option at a fish and chips place yet. Server was very sweet with our kids. Service was a little slow, so if you’re in a hurry, get the takeaway. I would definitely go again.

The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about cross contamination. They have a separate fryer for the gluten free. Only gf fish and chips with gf vinegar available no other products.

The lady that served was extremely helpful when we asked if they did gluten-free fish and chips. Food was lovely and they even had gluten free vinegar. Well worth the visit.

Go to place in York. Staff always know what they’re doing. Small cosy building but not fun when busy. No complaints about the food though

Went here for both lunch and dinner on 2 different days. There is a take-out counter and the dining room is down the hall on the left. I almost did not see there was seating inside. The best gluten free or regular battered fish ever. Great fries (chips) which are also gluten free. Separate fryer for the gluten free foods. Menu shows which options are gluten free.
