You have to ask about the gluten free options! They're mostly not listed on the menu unfortunately, but gluten free bread can be subbed for the burger, French toast, Monte Cristo, tuna melt, etc. The crunch wrap can also be served as a bowl. While there are a lot of gluten free options it seems as though there's a lot of cross contamination for celiacs. There are a few food items that are celiac friendly (fries are fried in a separate frier, cold options like the smoked salmon toast and avocado toast are prepared in a separate part of the kitchen, the endless forest is also prepared in that area and fully gluten free). If you're gluten intolerant, this place is fantastic, celiac however? I'd air on the side of caution.
They recently have been adding more and more gluten free options. The staff was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions, and when I verified upon food delivery they also had someone from the kitchen with celiac come out to assure me about cross contamination concerns and various options on the menu.
If you had an unsatisfactory experience in the past I would recommend going back, they have been intentionally expanding gluten free options and safety.
Really great food and drinks!
I get taken here quite a bit by groups of friends or out of towners that want a neat atmosphere. TBH there’s little that I can eat, but that isn’t the biggest issue. What is the issue is a cascade of failures that happened yesterday.
- went to brunch, there were two entire options 1) Cobb salad 2) mushroom scramble. Went with the mushroom scramble
- I asked if the sausage as a side would be safe, if not, I’d do bacon. Waiter came back and said sausage and bacon were both cooked on a shared flat top. I said thanks for letting me know and I’d skip them
- food came with a two sides, some leafy greens and some hash browns. I ate the eggs without thinking but the hash browns I waited to ask the waiter if they were also cooked on the shared flat top. He said yes they were but they’d cleaned it last night and it was “still kind of early in the day”. I gave the potatoes to my fiance and realized that if he didn’t tell me about the potatoes, what surface were the eggs cooked on? I’d eaten half of them at this point and was basically ready to call it quits. So, maybe the eggs were kinda safe?
Long story short, idk if there are any surfaces that are remotely safe
I told them I was celiac and the manager was so accommodating and told me they have a dedicated small area to prep with their gluten free bread for anything in the menus that they could sub out for it. I went for the avocado toast. Let me tell you everything about it was heavenly, the GF bread was toasted in a celiac safe place and not the main griddle, and it tasted like brioche. Highly recommend. I’ll be back.
