The curry is outstanding. They used to know how to modify their sushi rolls to make them gluten free, but I haven’t been comfortable ordering sushi here in a long time. I am wary of any items here that might require modification. I was adamantly assured a noodle dish was modified to be GF; I felt bad before leaving. I later learned they were supposed to further modify it to be rice instead of noodles, but they served me non-GF noodles. I now stick to the fresh rolls, pad Thai, and curry and haven't had problems. Inviting atmosphere.

I got the spring rolls and chive dumplings. The dumplings weren’t very good but the spring rolls were great. My waitress didn’t reassure me as much as I wished about cross contamination, just telling me “yes” when I asked if it was gluten free and okay for an allergy. I didn’t get sick but I will not be returning because of lack of reassurance.

They do have gluten free options on the menu, be sure to flag that you are gluten free to the waiter. Highly recommend the chicken pad Thai.
Yes
Service was horrible. The waiter would only say “ most things are gluten free “ but would not provide any more information. When we asked to speak to the chef ( place was not at all crowded ) we were told no. Will never return again.

Staff was fairly knowledgeable but seems to depend on server. Stick to the (very good) sushi.

amazing sushi!! love it here. i go here about once a week and have never gotten sick. pete (the sushi guy) will make your sushi separately and avoid cross contamination. they also have gf soy sauce. i have never had their noodles because i don’t like noodles but the staff says that they are safe as well.
Yes
The best sushi in Sarasota can be prepared gluten free in a separate area. The menu suggests that most dishes can be prepared GF, but I don't trust them. The wait staff speaks poor English, and their quick assurances of GF just make me more suspect. My daughter with Celiac orders the sushi GF and has not had a problem in 20 visits. So, I suggest you get the sushi an be safe and happy.
I've been coming here for years and love their sushi. You have to make sure you ask for gluten free options, and they do have a good selection of gf options.
Ate here without a problem but only ordered sushi and edemame. They had GF soy sauce and said they knew about CC.
We love this place in the past, but going back since being diagnosed was a gluten nightmare. Our waiter barely spoke English and seemed confused about what gluten even was. But she assured us the chef could use gf soy sauce and pointed out menu items that were safe....we got tofu pad thai and a couple types of sushi. When it arrived the tofu had been deep fried in shared fryers and tossed all in the noodles, and the sushi was topped with crumbled tempura. Seriously? When I told her about the tofu, she didn't even apologize, just brought some steamed tofu. At the end of the meal she asked us if we felt sick or not to "see if she did ok." Wow. Never again.
No
Great food. Menu doesn't show all options but just ask. My waitress suggested the pad Thai and it was amazing. Also, it has a great atmosphere!
The salmon was great! They can fix most anything gluten free (but not the tempura, as they don't have gluten free flour.)
Yes
The pad Thai is amazing and the staff can accommodate almost anything on the menu- I will definitely go back next time I am in the area!!
Owner knowledgable and helpful regarding gluten free needs
