New Grist gluten-free beer in a bottle. Certain items on the menu listed as gluten-free or can be prepared gluten-free.
Nothing better than fries and beer after a long day on the hill. This place has a gluten free deep fryer and local gluten free beer, a must visit when you’re in Whistler.
Went here twice and both were good experiences. The menu is not marked with gluten free items, so at first I was hesitant. Once I told the waitress I have celiacs she immediately guided me toward all the options, and informed me they have a dedicated gluten free fryer. Everything was delicious, the service was friendly, and I did not have any reactions to the food. Overall, highly recommend.
Menu is not marked but waitress was able to list off what is gf. Yes, they still have a GF fryer! Options include: fries (not poutine); wings & all sauces, nachos, several salads, burgers with gf bun, cubano sandwich with gf bun, and she thought the banh mi bowl too.
Two of us split wings, nachos, and a cubano (which came with fries) all gf. Delicious, nachos were huge (cheese layer after cheese layer 😋), and we ended up taking boxes to go despite being very hungry after a long day of hiking, so we were pleased with portion sizes.
Nice outdoor seating with misters cooling it down.
Server was extremely careful to mark that my meal should be gluten free, and she double checked with the kitchen regarding questions I had. Gluten free buns available for sandwich type things, and waitress came with a list of things that absolutely could not be made gluten free. Had a delightful salad with tasty chicken on it, and didn't leave feeling unsatisfied at all. It wasn't that the salad was my only choice, as at some restaurants, it was just what I felt like that day. Great food!
