DO NOT EAT HERE!!! I was told my meal was gluten free which it was not and no one would take responsibility.
— Separate gluten-free menu
Waitress and owner have no interest in answering even simple questions about allergies. They can't be bothered to check ingredients and act annoyed at the question being asked. I'm not sure why they bother with a gluten free menu because they clearly have no respect of food related allergies. I would not recommend eating here.

Very good food, they have lots of gluten free options and seemed to take it seriously. I got the Caesar salad with gf croutons, gf bruschetta, and a gf pizza! So yummy!

Don’t bother. Went there for lunch and ordered the Greek salad with chicken. Everything is over priced and the food is not good quality. The only Good thing was that I did not get sick.

Staff was very knowledgeable, asked if I was Celiac. I had the burger on GF bun with a side salad. They even had GF croutons which was such a nice surprise since that never happens when eating out. Took all COVID precautions as well.

I was blown away with how many options there were on the menu. The waiter was extremely helpful when ordering and having gluten free croutons was the equivalent of the cherry on top! We will be back.
Great place with great food and friendly staff. The bartender was very knowledgeable about gluten free items and the restaurant seemed to really care about taking care of those needing a gluten free diet.

First let me say the food was good but like going to any restaurant if you have celiac double and triple check your food. Waitress (she must have been new) brought out our food and there were fries on the plate. I asked if they were GF. The waitress told me yes fortunately there was a more knowledgeable waitress walking by and corrected her saying that the fries were cross-contaminated. I figured as much that’s why I asked. Then the waitress began arguing with my wife saying that some cross contamination is ok and her son has celiac and she knows... poor kid... I asked for something to substitute the fries with and she told me a side salad and then charged me for it. Anyways all good and the food was good. Worth going but double check your order
Yes
Staff was very knowledgeable and knew all the proper procedures. We came to the location specifically because of all the rave reviews. We ordered a burger, pizza, a grinder and salads and spent $50. When we got back to our hotel we tested everything with the Nima sensor and every product came back with gluten found. Called the restaurant and they advised that someone would call us the next day and we would get a refund. Never received a call so we went to the restaurant on our way home (3 1/2 hours away) with the uneaten food and the manager informed us he could not do a refund because the owner was out of town. We were repeatedly told how that’s never happened before and made to feel like we were lying about the issue. So we spent $50 on food we couldn’t eat and $30 for the 4 capsules to test the food and then we were treated like we were lying to add additional insult. We are people that never complain and seek to only educate staff ordinarily and didn’t ask for the refund, the girl on the phone offered and we brought the uneaten food back so it’s sad that the staff was more concerned about being right than trying to figure out where the process went wrong and making it right for us.
No
I spoke with Dana once I returned back to work. I felt very bad about the gluten free food they ordered had actually tested positive for gluten. I apologized for the incident and talked with her about this Nima sensor, as I had never heard of it. I also refunded her money for the uneaten food. I said clearly it was our fault and I was going to look into what could of went wrong.
I decided to order the Nima sensor so I could test our items and make sure we were not taking a misstep in our cooking process. We have numerous customers that come in just for our gluten free items and all rave about the product, and none of them have ever had an issue, so we owed it to our customers to figure this out. Once we received the Nima sensor and capsules I immediately made a gluten free pizza. We then put this pizza through the tester and it came up positive for gluten! So for the next test I used just a piece of the gluten free pizza crust directly from the cryovaced packaging. Once again the test came up positive. So then I tested our burger buns and grinder buns the same way. Both came up positive for gluten. All these items come vacuum packed from FDA inspected/tested facility’s and are guaranteed gluten free. One of the company’s I get product from is Local Oven. They are a highly successful gluten free bakery and their products are all over the country. I asked my food vendor about this also and was told the Nima sensor was not FDA approved. So I then started to do research on this Nima sensor myself. The opinions on the product are all over the place. The main opinion I was concerned with was the FDA and weather they approve of this product. The answer is no as the results can be very inaccurate. Here is an article. https://www.glutenfreewatchdog.org/news/gluten-free-watchdogs-updated-position-statement-on-the-nima-sensor-for-gluten/
I’m sure these sensors are useful to many people and serve a purpose for them. I just do not want my customers who read this review to believe this sensor over the highly regulated testing procedures that these gluten free facilities have to go through.
Thank you
Duffy
Gf steak and cheese grinder was so good and first I’ve had since diagnosis! The fries sadly are not gf because of a shared fryer, but they state this right on the menu and the sandwich is filling enough that you don’t really miss them.

We had the very best waitress, her name is Brianne and she is extremely knowledge about Celiac! This is the mix of a sports bar/ restaurant that has amazing food. The bread is from the Carolinas and is the best mom grain bread I've ever had. Even the pizza crust is gluten free. We had the bruschetta and Duffysysalad and pulled pork grinder. All amazing and totally GF. I highly recommend.
Excellent! Knowledgeable staff. The GF grinder rolls were simply awesome. 1.5 years after being diagnosed, I wanted to cry with how good the bread was! A member of the wait staff talked to me about how the owner was determined to do GF 'right' so he searched high and low for the best bread. He also explained their measures for cc. Cool spot...limited view of the water but dog friendly!
Great choices! The gf sub roll is yummy - soft & flavorful. Waitstaff very aware of my needs. Will go back.

Lots of gluten free options here! They have gluten free Issa crust, buns, grinder buns and pasta. I had the pulled pork grinder and it was incredible! There is plenty of seating indoor or outdoor. I’ll definitely be back!
Wonderful!!! I’ve been here twice while traveling and will definitely be back again. Great choices.
This restaurant is the best in the area!! Gluten free on all bread for Brenden. Food was fabulous and the staff is amazing!! Definitely will go back when we are here.
The server was helpful and very friendly. The salad (as a substitute for fries) was HUGE and came with a sealed packet of GF croutons, well worth the up charge. GF hoagie bun was a bit crumbly but great flavor. No dedicated fryer but there are plenty of GF choices. A very nice experience!

First, staff was great. They had many options. Definitely try the bruschetta. Was sharing with my husband and after tasting told him it was all mine since he would have anything he wants on the menu! Whether is was gluten free or not, the food was great. A must try if in town.

One of the best pizzas ever. The crust was awesome but the cheese and toppings were amazing. When in Petoskey, this is a must!!

Gluten free bun was great, dedicates gf menu. They offer homemade gf pizza, pasta, and buns.
Gluten free pizza was excellent. I am leery of trying places for the first time since my diagnosis because I don’t want to be running for nearest bathroom!! They have a large message on the back of the menu that states they do not have separate fryer. Thankfully, I did not get glutened. Will definitely be back to try other options!

Very good gluten free options. They even have hoggie rolls.

The food is really good. Family friendly, limited options for GF (pizza, buns, bread, etc) but they are familiar with cross contamination and have the proper warnings on their menu. Great option if you have kids. My daughter is GF & loved her pizza.

We stayed in Petoskey on vacation. We were there for 4 nights and ate at Duffy's for 3 of those nights. I am gluten free for medical reasons and I did not have a problem any of those nights. And besides that huge benefit the food was delicious! Their gluten free pizza is deep dish and fabulous. I wish that we had a Duffy's near my home in Minnesota. I would highly recommend!
Food was delicious, best GF grinder I've had. The menu clearly states what is prepared in a common fryer.
I got a gf pizza to split with my non-gf mom and we both loved it! I think they can do any of their pizzas on the gf crust. Beware of the fries as they are made in a shared fryer and aren't safe for those with celiac. Definitely recommend this place if you're in the area. They also have gf bread for grinders and other options.
Great option. Pizza crust was great, thicker then any gf options I've had. cider on tap is always a plus. they had gf hoagies and bruachetta as well.

I ordered the GF pizza with only veggies. Made sure that my waitress and chef knew that I had celiacs. A few hours later I was bloated with gas.
Best Gluten Free grinder ever!! Delicious!
They offer gluten free pasta, grinders, burgers and pasta. There is also gluten free croutons that are excellent.
