I am celiac. Ordered a hot fudge sundae, and I did not have a reaction.

How would you rate the taste and quality of the gluten-free food you tried?

— Excellent

Felt comfortable ordering the soft serve ice cream (after disposing of a small amount first since they use cones). Had it twice and neither child had a reaction.

Was told all ice cream except the Oreo was GF, but then after I paid and ordered the Butterfinger ice cream I was told I couldn’t have the Butterfinger or Chocolate PB because of cross contamination. I settled with chocolate soft serve ice cream which was good, but not what I wanted.

The head staff person knew about which flavors were gluten free (all but Oreo) and was well versed in cross contamination including how sprinkles were contaminated and how milk shakes were impacted by the machine. Delicious ice cream and great service!

I actually had a great experience here. I was reassured that the only ice cream flavors that have gluten are the ones with Oreo, and they even took out a separate, smaller milkshake mixer to prepare my milkshake. I found them to be very accommodating!

I set my expectations low, and Dumser’s still failed to meet them. I asked the cashier is she could tell us about gluten in the ice cream and she said with a smirk, “our ice cream has gluten.” For the record, I’m pretty sure that is not universally true (maybe a flavor or two), and I’m pretty sure she was just one of those awful people who believe gluten issues aren’t real. I just went to their competition, and they were much nicer.
