I wanted so badly to come here and love it. I ordered a gf breakfast sandwich. I was assured they had gf bread. After taking a couple of bites, I stopped because the bread was too good. And sure enough I was really sick the rest of the day. I hate that because I cave wanted to eat here for a long time.
The BEST gluten free fried chicken!!! Waffles are ok, but sourdough. Chicken was so good we got some to go. Very nice people as well.
i cannot say enough good things about this place. i have never had a GF belgian waffle and rarely find GF fried chicken that is actually good! they take all the precautions, the fried chicken and waffles are only made GF (they don’t offer gluten fried chicken or waffles). i don’t understand the people complaining about this place in the reviews because the food and staff are great! HIGHLY recommend and will definitely be returning. i have never gotten sick here and i am a severe celiac.
I have been there multiple times, hoping for a good experience, because they have such an extensive gluten-free menu. Unfortunately, the food is subpar to disgusting the past six months to a year. From burnt fish, to soggy fries, bad lettuce in the salad, to them getting my order wrong on two occasions and serving me a regular bun. Go to the south location for good, safe food!
This place is amazing for celiacs! There was about a 30 min wait when I got there, but I would wait hours to eat there again. It was so worth it! I seriously almost cried eating my food, it was the most delicious gluten free goodness. I wanted to go back and kiss every one of the kitchen staff for making so many delicious gluten free options for people like us. I ordered the chicken and waffles. Holy wow! Fried chicken was incredibly tender, juicy, and the crust was light and crunchy. Waffles were fluffy and tasted like there was mounds of gluten in it, but there wasn't. I swear, I asked... a lot! They don't even serve glutinous waffles in the restaurant. Everything that goes in their friers is gluten free, so theres no worry of coss contamination there. The only thing on their menu that was glutinous was the biscuits. I was the only celiac in my group and everyone loved their food. I wish I could eat there everyday!
This place is amazing! I had chicken and waffles with vegetarian herb gravy and it was amazing! The chicken was tender on the inside and the breading was crispy and delicious. We went twice who look e in Asheville. I highly recommend them. The lavender a r lemonade is also good.
Went for breakfast. Food was really good but did feel like my options were a bit limited because of my egg allergy as well as celiac. Ordered the Cali Bowl with the fried chicken (dedicated gf fryer) instead of tempeh, and it was really flavorful. Felt very safe as far as cross contamination and staff knowledge.
Ate here twice while
Staying in the Asheville area. Good food, items clearly on the menu marked gluten free.
Meatloaf with tomato gravy was legit! Breakfast bowls were delicious. Veggie and Porky bowl ordered for me and my wife, good coffee and friendly staff. Hoping we get a chance to come back and support this establishment again!
No reactions or problems!
GF Fish and chips? Yes, thank you!! Haven’t had breaded fish in 6 years! Loved it! The fries weren’t great and I ordered it to go and asked for ranch for my fries and they gave me about 2 Tbsp, not enough, so I couldn’t give them a 5 star.
We stopped in for breakfast and I had the Yam Scram ®* (GF)
Cage-free eggs scrambled with local pork sausage, shiitake mushrooms, sweet potatoes, chopped applewood-smoked bacon, and fresh green onion. Includes choice of hot sauce
Not a hot sauce person so opted out of that but this dish was incredible! They also had gf toast and a local made berry jam which was awesome.
This is must have if you are in the area!!❤
Oh my gosh! This place is a celiac’s dream. Farm to table, uses locally sourced foods - and the delicious gf waffles, fried chicken and bread pudding!!!! There was so much to choose from on the menu, which was clearly marked. Our server was very knowledgeable and they understood about cross contamination.
Ordered fish and chips. Both fries and fish were cooked in a gf fryer. Food was delicious! Service was good but they were short staffed on Saturday night. Just a word of caution that although the fryer is dedicated,!they do cook a lot of pancakes here,’so manager has informed me that there is still some chance of cross-contamination. But this will be one of my go to places in Asheville going forward.
I felt confident that the food was prepared safely, but found it overall mediocre. The service was slow, and some of the ingredients listed on the menu for my salad were not included. I had gotten it to go, so perhaps it would have been better in person.
There were so many GF options on the menu that it was hard to choose! With a dedicated fryer and strong allergy protocols, we felt very safe ordering food here. We loved the fried chicken, the fish & chips and the BBQ pork mac & cheese. My celiac son was in heaven! We were visiting from out of town and took it to go (Covid-style!) and they were helpful and friendly. Would love to go back in normal times and enjoy a meal in-house as this west Asheville location had a fun funky vibe and a large shady outside patio area.
