Amazing food, I spoke with the team prior to going and had a note for celiac in my reservation. Items are not marked gluten free but our server had good knowledge of what is GF or could be modified. do yourself a favor and get the key lime pie, it’s to die for (without the graham cracker crumble of course). eating here safely takes some advanced planning but so worth it.

The prefix menu does not indicate which items are gluten free and the server seemed unsure of what had gluten. For example, a dish with soy glaze was said to be gluten free.

We had high expectations going in and I’d emailed management asking about accommodations for Celiac in advance. When we arrived, the server said they could do almost anything gluten free, even though that was different from what the manager had told me and didn’t make sense for the pasta course (since they don’t have GF pasta). I stuck to the options the manager had discussed with me in advance to be safe. The server then said they couldn’t guarantee for cross contamination, which was not brought up in my discussion with the manager. I ordered the eggplant, scallops, Thai seafood stew, and the pavlova as these felt like the lowest risk options. I’m feeling fine this morning but honestly disappointed by the service and probably wouldn’t return.

Worrisome handling of food allergy and mediocre food leaves you asking why this place is so hyped anymore. This used to be the best dining experience and food in southern Maine but it has lost its magic touch. The food quality, service and presentation are just average but prices have skyrocketed. More importantly they used to be very good with handling allergy but on recent visit they served two items that had gluten. Only upon being asked to triple check with kitchen did they realize it had gluten.
There is no gf menu and staff seems rather unwilling to truly inquire. They went through stuff by memory but assured us they would identify celiac/allergy on the ticket for kitchen and there would be no problems. None of this mattered as we were served glutenous items, twice!
Save yourself the hassle of trying to get a reservation, the drive, the cost and the risk of getting poisoned with gluten. Try one of the many other restaurants that hasn’t gone downhill and that take allergies more seriously.

Always have a safe and wonderful dinner here. They don’t have a dedicated GF menu they will ask the chef what modifications can be made. I do have celiac

Only one item on the menu - salad that was lacking in every way. While the staff is kind, most seem unfamiliar with the concept of gluten free in general.
