I told the server I had celiac disease and had to avoid cross-contamination with gluten. Initially, it seemed very positive - I was going to order the green curry, but the server told me that one wasn’t safe, so I asked about the khao soi instead and she said that was fine. When it came out, I noticed it had some fried noodles on top, so I asked if they were fried in the same fryer as items containing gluten and she said yes then said “so it’s very serious.” She suggested the Golden curry instead And I ended up going with that one. When she brought THAT dish out, she said that if I ever wanted to order the cow so I should just ask for rice noodles instead. So I was like - those were wheat noodles?? And she said yes. TLDR the only reason I didn’t eat the initial dish in front of me was my hesitancy about fried stuff and I almost got super glutened…. They can make things safely here just be careful and specific when you order.
I ordered takeout and paid cash (15% discount woo). I ordered through the website and flagged celiac in the order notes. Originally ordered the pad Thai and green curry but the restaurant called me to let me know they couldn't make the curry gluten free. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly! Food was great and place is lovely.
