I felt very safe eating here. The chicken poppers were tasty, but my fries were so seasoned I felt like I was eating directly from a salt lick (and believe me, I’m not anti-salt😂) Maybe they just had an off night based on everyone else’s positive reviews of the fries. But, between the seasoning on the nuggets and the fries being doused with seasoning, it was just too much. Also, this is a very eclectic bar scene type restaurant; staff was amazing and very nice; but just mentioning as it wasn’t what I was expecting based on other reviews.

The owner grant has gone above and beyond to ensure an excellent experience every time. After being a returning customer of many times, I slipped up and forgot to specify I need my chicken gluten free (I was just so used to expecting it here!). As my food as brought out he said, wait aren’t you gluten free? I told him I forgot and would pay for a GF order because I messed up. He reassured me that it was no problem and gave it to me on the house. Food amazing and this place is a must go to

I will add one more perfect review for this great little establishment. We had 1-2 of everything for a party of 6 and it was all delicious. The owner(?) who was cooking in the back came out and explained their safety measures. He also said he isn’t just about having gluten free food but that “being a place that is safe for celiac is a priority and very important” to him. 10,000 stars! Thank you!

Everything we ate at Eat duckbill was delicious! It’s located inside Platypus in the Grove and it is the perfect spot for a night out. We spoke with the owner Grant, and he was the nicest. We tried everything on the menu! My favorite is a tie between the Brussel sprouts and the French fries.
While it’s not listed as such on the menu, the popcorn chicken can be made gluten free (not dairy free). Things are celiac safe as there is a dedicated fryer. We tried some drinks too as well as the sauces (just not the BBQ sauce as that isn’t gluten free). We went early with children (I think it changes to 21 and over at 9pm), but it looks like such a fun spot to go back at night as just adults. If you find yourself in the grove definitely check them out! Lots of dairy free options for those that need it too.

This was a fantastic find. Small menu but delicious. Chicken can be gf (but not dairy free). Fries, tofu, brussel sprouts, cauliflower all come gf. All sauces are gf except the bbq sauce. Very knowledgeable and happy to accommodate our 10 yo celiac. Rave reviews from everyone!

This funky place is a hidden gf gem! The food was yummy and the owner/staff were very knowledgeable about celiac and made all the necessary precautions to keep my food safe. The menu in the restaurant doesn’t say GF on everything but they have a separate fryer and almost everything can be made gluten free.

The way I don’t even have words to describe how AMAZING their food is! We got everything GF on the menu except the cauliflower and it was all delicious. I also love being able to eat affordable tasty bar food safely with celiac because that just doesn’t happen. 10/10 will come back, and the Brussels sprouts are a must

They have a dedicated fryer. The chicken is crispy and seasoned well. The Brussels sprouts are to die for. We didn’t love the cauliflower. Fries were good. We will be back. I felt fine after, just full and thirsty!

This is my new addiction. My only complaint is that they aren’t open for lunch. We get a small chicken, fries and brussels. All amazing! The cocktails from the bar are fun and change regularly.

Located in The Grove this little treasure is a must visit! It’s a restaurant inside of a bar. Enter thru the Platypus where you can order a cocktail (alcoholic or non), a soda, seltzer or beer & then wander thru the door to the next room which reveals the restaurant. Chef/Owner came out to speak to our party about GF practices & how he takes every precaution possible. Food was outstanding! Felt completely safe eating here as a Celiac. GO EAT HERE! Yummmm

This place is awesome! We had the popcorn chicken, tofu, fries, and most of the sauces. Everything was delicious. We chatted with the owner for a bit, and he totally gets it. He makes sure it's safe for those with Celiac, and is not simply catering to the fad. And I guarantee that those that don't require GF will love it as well. It's just REALLY good! And the drinks at Platypus are solid as well. Can't wait to come back!

Delicious! Dedicated fryer! Popcorn chicken, caramelized brussel sprouts, and fries are wonderful. The owner talked to us when we ordered and while we were eating. He understands the Celiac’s plight.

Enjoyed it, and we would like to go back. Went before the cardinals game. Small menu but almost all of it is GF. The chicken, sauces and veggies were all really good! Platypus next door also has great cocktails.

Highly recommend. It’s a limited menu of popcorn chicken and fries with lots of delicious sauces to try. You can also get Brussels or cauliflower. We tried the chicken, fries, and cauliflower. It was all delicious! Dedicated fryers for GF chicken and fries. FYI - It is located in a bar. I took my 3 teens in around 5:30/6:00 with no problem, and the staff was very welcoming.

Such delicious food! The chicken nuggets were to die for. The chef was proud to have food for anyone with dietary restrictions on a simple menu. And be sure to check out Platypus next door! They have a good non-alcoholic selection, as well.

Awesome spot. Dedicated GF fryer and Grant, the chef, was insanely nice and accomodating. Even made the popcorn chicken, which was delicious, celiac-friendly. Only issue was that I only had a chance to go here once during a short trip to STL.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. Simple menu made with a variety of dietary restrictions/lifestyle choices in mind and the food does not dissapoint. I tried the carmelized brussels sprouts, crispy tofu and fries and they were all craving-worthy. We went during a slow point in the afternoon and the chef offered to make me gluten free popcorn chicken (in their dedicated fryer!) with a gf flour blend hes been playing with and you guys! It was amazing. The chef is awesome and takes food allergies/celiac very seriously and is super understanding. Definately give this neat little lounge a try.

Great place for GF bar food. This is the kitchen for the adjoining bar, Platypus. There are five items on the menu, and four of them are gluten free; five sauces and four of them are GF. I didn’t care for the seasoning on the cauliflower; enjoyed everything else.
