I went to Irving and had a huge breakfast with corned beef skillett, pancakes and a waffles with fruit, Greek yoghurt and granola. The potatoes tasted a bit reheated but the pancakes were good and the waffle just delicious. Staff was very friendly and could answer my questions. The information about me being celiac was passed to the kitchen and my breakfast was prepared and served first to avoid cross-contamination.
Very tasty skillets and the knows omelettes are huge! Great portion sizes for the price. Very accommodating of dietary restrictions and they even have gf pancakes as a side. The servers are very friendly. Def recommend this place especially for breakfast. I've never gotten sick from eating here, very happy.
Ate here dozens of times. GF server but entire staff is sweet and knowledge.
Great experience! Our waiter was very knowledgeable and understanding of celiac. Pancakes were cooked in a separate area but he said not to eat the waffles because of cross contamination. Many gluten free options with an understanding of allergies, I would come back!
Delicious! They can do gluten free waffles, pancakes and toast. I could order almost anything from the menu which was nice! I got a potato skillet and some GF pancakes on the side. The “worst” part was that the pancakes tasted so good and looked so normal that it was hard to believe it was GF!
Plenty of GF options, good food. If you don't have an egg sensitivity like I do, probably about half the menu is safe. I had a bacon cheeseburger with a gf bun. Honestly, the bun was disgusting, but it was DEFINITELY gluten free and that's really all that matters to me. Plus, rest of the burger was PHENOMENAL. Waitress couldn't tell me if the fryer was dedicated gf but she was very friendly and did make sure to tell the chefs I had an allergy.
Excellent diner experience. We ate egg dishes only, no pancakes or waffles. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about cross contamination.
Super average food, pretty standard Gluten free options like eggs based dishes with veggies and/or meats. Gluten free pancakes are dry and the flavor is both bland and too sweet.
Service wasn’t great. Host directed me to the bar where I was ignored for about 10 mins. I would have happily taken a greeting and a “be right with you” — I was a server I get it. Finally I ordered and my food came after about 20 mins with no butter or syrup for the pancakes. I asked the runner to grab me some, but she never did. Thankfully the floor manager checked in on me and grabbed some ketchup and hot sauce. Had to wait another 15-20mins to snag the server for that butter and syrup to make the already cold pancakes palatable.
There are far better GF bfast restaurants in Chicago.
*Do not know if GF food is celiac safe
