Can make modifications if you ask such as switching the corn and flour tortillas or putting the burritos on a bed of rice. I have never had a reaction to the chips. Enchiladas are made with corn tortillas.

I bought EZ gluten test strips and tested the beans and rice together, the beef fajita meat and the salsa. All 3 came back negative but the testing company does not guarantee that it’s safe and that cannot account for future cross contamination but I wanted to share. I didn’t try the chips as they have a shared fryer. The three things I did eat were delicious. I think next time I’ll put this on GF tortillas as a burrito. Yum

The chips weren't gluten free, but the enchiladas were delicious.
Their chips are NOT gluten free. I had a server say they had flour and corn in their chips. There may be safe options on the menu but it's not clearly labeled and staff is not knowledgeable of what has gluten.
No
This is my go-to restaurant for "safe" food. I have Celiac disease and have Never had a reaction to the food. Just order corn tortilla's and avoid any of the items with flour tortillas , such as burritos or tostadas. The enchiladas are delicious and made with corn not wheat flour. Refried beans should be their own food group!
Yes
El Azteca is a great Mexican restaurant in Ames. The chips & salsa are both gluten-free. I have been a few times and have ordered beef fajitas with corn tortillas, tacos, enchiladas, rice, and refried beans. I have Celiac Disease and had no issues eating at El Azteca.
