Review of El Cancun

If you find yourself staying at The Ridges Resort in need of gluten free food on a Sunday or public holiday then ElCancun is worth a shot. I ate there twice and the biggest challenge was the language barrier. The staff speak mostly Spanish but a couple of them understood and were happy to help, including offering to cook food separately . Pick the obviously gluten free options and don’t expect the best Mexican food ever but it was the best option in the circumstances and turned out good. The Ridges Resort we we’re staying at were very in flexible and not gluten aware. Perseverance with the Mexican was more rewarding. Probably not ideal for very sensitive coeliac but I am coeliac and had no negative reactions.
