Someone said they made their chips in a dedicated fryer. They do not. The waitress did not know what gluten was. And my fajitas came to me with a sauce on them that was not described on the menu. As far as Mexican food goes, it was run of the mill. But, the staff was nice.

They are not aware of what Gluten is, sad when you get that blank look. Ordered tacos, they think they are safe. We'll see.

Ate there last night. My "star" review is pertinent to gluten only.

Good points: Tortilla chips are fried in a dedicated fryer in vegetable oil (I did not ask what type of oil). The staff was kind & receptive to my many questions, but had to go to the kitchen with each question.

Bad points: Corn soft tortillas have wheat in them. Menu has no mention of Gluten. All information is learned from the staff.

Since I also have to avoid soy, which is used in their chicken marinade, I ended up have Huevos Rancheros for dinner. The beans and rice were good and the eggs, peppers and onions were good, just not that special. The margarita was okay.

I'll try another Mexican restaurant next time.

When I next try El Chorro, I will ask about their beef and shrimp marinades.

Not only is this the best authentic Mexican restaurant out there, they will make you fresh homemade corn tortillas upon request. My fiance have been eating here for years, & when I. found out that I have Celiac disease, I thought life was over. I was relieved when the manager told my fiance that they have gluten free options. The Chile Verde w/homemade corn tortillas is my favorite, but everything is yummy!!
