Excellent place for celiacs! Of course, they cannot guarantee zero cross-contamination, but staff are knowledgeable about the differences between celiac, allergy, and intolerance. Almost everything on the menu is naturally gluten free, excluding burritos, quesadillas, and dessert items. It was absolutely delicious and such a groovy place!

Everyone here was very knowledgeable about gluten-free and Celiac. It's the safest I've felt eating Mexican food since being in Mexico! The food was great, I would definitely come back the next time we are in town.

Got the carnitas bowl takeout and it was nice! The woman who took my order at the counter has a kid with celiac so she was on top of marking the order for me and advising on the menu. Everything except the burritos and quesadilla is safe.

Being recently put on a restricted diet, I was afraid to venture out to eat. This was only my 2nd meal outside of the house since my dietary changes.. The staff was exceptionally helpful and explained allot to me before ordering.. the food was amazing and has inspired me to be more adventurous in my own cooking!! The restaurant itself is quaint and comfortable!

This place is 98% GF and is a "farm to taco" concept as they call it. Only the flour tortillas have gluten in them. They have dedicated fryers and assured me that nothing with gluten goes into the fryers. I NIMA tested the salsa verde, queso, chips, and fish tacos. Everything came back safe to eat. The fish tacos with tequila lime crema are INCREDIBLE and unlike any that I have tried. They use masa and buttermilk to bread them. The queso is also delicious. I was not impressed with the salsa, but I'm from the south, and like it spicy.

Everything except the burrito shell is gluten free. The Papas Fritas were amazing!! Also got the breakfast nachos. They immediately told me they were gluten free and celiac safe when I said I was gluten free. Super cool old diner atmosphere. Portions were massive and everything tasted really good. Was even able to try my husband and kids meals , which never happens

The food is SO good. I had the dos pollo tacos with beans and a salad. The chicken was so tender and juicy and the overall flavor was notable. The staff was knowledgeable and I felt safe.

Highly recommend a reservation because they fill up fast. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about celiac, and said they would make sure to take extra cautions with the pans to prevent cross contamination. All tacos are made with corn tortillas but the burritos do use flour. The chips have a dedicated fryer and are safe (and delicious!) Also the gluten free brownie with spicy chocolate sauce is a must! The best gf brownie I have had.

We had a fantastic time eating here last night. We got the fries with cheese sauce, they were thick cut but delicious. The two sauces on the table were tasty, one was a pickled jalapeno chili sauce, the other was a very day spicy sauce. Not sure how better to describe them, but both were delicious.
The service was fast and attentive, we each got tacos and they were tasty. The tacos only had one corn tortilla, and they got soggy and fell apart quickly, but were yummy.
The atmosphere is nice, it has a diner vibe with an equal number of counter seats and booths. We will eat there again next time we visit the city!

Fabulous option for our celiac family (one is vegetarian too). Even the chips are safe and they are so light and crispy!!! Can’t remember the last time we had fresh chips anywhere. Everything is gf except the burrito flour tortillas which are also used for quesadillas so we felt very safe and confident. Super easy with so many options plus local hard cider made it perfect.

Fun, quirky diner environment right off the main shopping square. 10 out of 10. The staff is super helpful and very allergy & FODMAP friendly. The food is delicious. There is a dedicated fryer for chips and churros! Nachos were great. A great stop in Burlington.

Waitress seemed very rehearsed in giving the low-down on gluten options, which were basically everything but the burritos and quesadillas. Corn chips were GF, as were the margaritas. I had a fish taco breaded in corn tortilla crumbs (delicious) and a chorizo taco and a carnitas taco. Side of rice and refried beans. All extremely tasty.

I love this restaurant! We sat at the bar and the wait staff was very friendly. I asked for a gluten-free menu but they did not have one. Instead, the waitress informed me that the only products which contain gluten were the tortillas. They were very knowledgeable and made me feel at ease with ordering. We ordered the papas fritas to share but I wish had gotten my own. They are delicious! I also had the pollo tacos with black beans and rice. I had no reaction and will most definitely be returning soon!

Was super delicious and has a cool vibe. I’d say it’s a solid mid level Mexican between authentic and “american” Mexican. Waitress said everything was gluten free besides the wraps for the burritos. Had papas fritas and tacos!
Yes
Eh- good food but the chips are now not in a dedicated fryer so I was afraid to have them. Odd, because they catered our wedding two years ago and everything was strictly GF. Bummer- I’ll go to Taco Gordo from now on.
No
Lots of gluten free options. I feel very safe eating here. It’s one of the 4 restaurants I eat at as eating out gives me so much anxiety.
Yes
This little diner Mexican place is so tasty and celiac friendly! I had carnitas and frijoles tacos with no bad reaction. They have corn tortillas. My husband had a pescado taco which is breaded with corn chips according to the server so that appeared to be celiac friendly as well. Great find in Burlington!

Excellent food and service. I had a burrito bowl with chicken, rice, beans, lettuce, guacamole, salsa and sour cream. Separate fryer for chips which was a bonus. I would definitely recommend this place!
Dedicated GF fryer for chips and various entree items. Entire menu is GF except two or three items. Recommended.

GO HERE!
We started with bloody mary's. They make their own mix, so it's safe! They also have a dedicated fryer so I was able to have fried calamari tacos and fried fish tacos. They were FANTASTIC!
Yes
The important part: seems celiac safe. They do have a dedicated fryer for the chips as of July 2018. I didn’t get sick at all. Servers were really helpful and friendly. But the nachos... what. The cheese is so weird and watery it pools at the bottom of the plate and leaves the chips with nothing on them. With limited safe places, I’ll go back, but wouldn’t if there were other good options.
Update: they now have a dedicated gluten free fryer! Best nachos ever and they are gluten free! Almost all the tacos are gluten free as well
dedicated gluten free fryer now!
Yes
The tacos are good, but the chips, fries, and fish are all fried with the churros and not gluten free. (The waiter said celiacs eat the chips with no effect because it's a trace amount, but I wasn't willing to risk it.) It's also a little pricey for what you get.
Yes
Great food and almost everything on the menu is gluten free! Previous reviews stated the fryer was not GF - I'm happy to report that they no longer make churros, so they do have a dedicated fryer now! I was told that only the burritos and one other thing on the menu contained gluten. The corn tortillas and chips are homemade, and they use lots of local ingredients and interesting combinations. So good!
Food was ok, but no GF salsa or chips so not much there to go for.
Chips are made in the same fryer as the churros so not celiac friendly but I didn't get sick. They say they change their oil often. Tacos are good, though pricey.
Delicious and fresh farm-to-table style tacos. Some innovative combos and definitely vegetarian friendly and celiac friendly. Important to note: fryolator is NOT gluten free. Therefore tortilla chips and sweet potato dishes are off limits. But this leaves plenty of options and staff was kind and accommodating about substituting plain corn tortillas instead of chips with guac/salsa combo.
