Waiter was very nice.! If he didn't know answer to my questions he checked to make sure it was ok for me to eat. Also the complimentary salsa was to spicy for me and he said I could get a milder salsa but it was different. It was perfect for me! I got the lunch taquitos and they turned on a different fryer for me. I just had to wait longer for my food! The food was delicious and even better , I didn't get sick!
No review can be made - stopped in this evening and spent over 15 min trying to explain what gluten is. After attempts with 2 different people we had to leave and go somewhere else for dinner. I didn't feel I could eat their without an issue if they didn't know what gluten even was.
I love el Jalisco. I was recently diagnosed with celiacs disease and I explained I couldn't eat any gluten, bread, flour tortillas. I also had a Spanish Gluten Free card (get the "GF Travel" app if you don't already. They understood immediately and showed me everything that's good for me. Most of their food is gluten free anyway. The tortilla chips are done in their own fryer. I ordered the Jalisco Special and then our waiter came back and said there was flour in the tamale, and he said they could substitute a beef or chicken taquito. Yum! I felt fine, no reaction. I love this place, the waiters are great people, the owner is awesome, and the food, take this from a true Hispanic, is authentic and made from scratch, no short cuts here. Truly an establishment of integrity.
