I can’t say enough good things about this place. The woman at the counter told me that the queso had treated that the queso contained a little gluten. The menu was clearly marked and the staff appeared knowledgeable. I felt well afterwards with no symptoms. The Birria was delicious!

Food is good, anything fried including chips is cross contaminated. Queso and even shredded cheese has gluten which is dumb but overall the food is good I bring my own chips and cheese

Knowledgeable staff! Without batting an eye the lady at the register said - “everything here is GF except the flour tortillas.” They fry the flour tortilla in a separate fryer from corn products…. (Tacos, nachos etc) It was a little pricey, but being able to eat somewhere & not worry about a hit or CC - it’s worth it. Authentic & DELICIOUS! Mobile doesn’t offer as many GF options as it should based on population. We will patron here again - 100%!

Good food and unique environment. I ordered 3 tacos that came on corn tortillas. The kitchen was asked to prepare my order separate from others if possible and I did not get sick, even being very sensitive to cross contamination.

Their chips are on the GF menu but they are fried with other items that contain gluten. I ate the chips only to have the waitress come out and tell me she found out from the kitchen they weren’t GF. I asked them to cross them off the GF menu so others don’t get sick.

El Papi has a large gluten free menu and nice atmosphere. I went on a very busy night, and didn’t get a chance to question the staff about cross contamination. I ordered two corn soft tacos. They were very tasty and I didn’t have a reaction.

Separate gf menu with many options.

They have a gluten free menu (there's also a vegetarian menu on the back.) All the tacos are gluten free and there are several appetizers and other dishes from which to choose. It's a hipper Mexican restaurant; not the ABC kind. They also have good margaritas. The cook brought out my tacos on a different colored plate. I had three different kind and they were each very tasty! We will definitely be going back!
