Review of El Picante

They have both corn tortillas and crunchy tacos. I eat the chips there and more or less assume things are gluten free. I get a dish called the Pollo Bandido. It is basically grilled chicken, rice, beans, queso, and flour tortillas. I get no beans and i switch out the flour tortillas for crunchy tacos. It is really good. I can’t speak for how gluten friendly everything is because I don’t react to gluten or cross contamination, but my mom does. We both had this meal and she didn’t get sick. The staff is extremely friendly and the environment is very nice. It is the only Mexican restaurant I’ve tried in Pikeville and I see no reason to try anything else. It’s that good!
