when we came in i told the waitress right away about my severe intolerance and i ordered off the gluten/ vegetarian menu, when my food came out i had taken a bite of the rice but she came over and told me they were the wrong tortillas, then when we got the palate back it was the same one just different tortillas, so we had to let another person know and bring out another new plate, i knew it was different because it was untouched. then i started eating and i felt sick anyways. the waiter we brought out after was super nice and seemed to understand but i still got ill anyways.
I’ve only eaten here once, but it was a good experience. The server was knowledgeable about celiac disease and cross contamination. They don’t have items marked as gf, but she assured me they could accommodate anything on the menu. (They also make their refried beans, a gluten culprit, from scratch.) This place is a celiac oasis in what appears to be a gluten-filled desert — will definitely be eating here again when in the area.
