Went once just for drinks and they charged my card a $50 tip for a margarita and a beer. I went back for lunch because it was convenient and unfortunately I got a reaction from basic steak tacos even though I asked the kitchen to be notified of my allergies. The service there is also terrible, I won’t be going back.

I love El Vez! The atmosphere, the food. All amazing. They do not have gluten free menu’s but the staff did seem very knowledgeable about allergies and cross contamination. I am not personally celiac but my boyfriend is, I also was with my best friend and her boyfriend who has a peanut allergy. They both unfortunately got sick from food almost immediately. Luckily, they had very nice bathrooms.

The service was great! There was no gluten free menu but the waiter was very knowledgeable and told me which items were safe to eat and which would be gluten free BUT cross contaminated.

Very accommodating for gluten-free for Celiac. Family style, but brought me my own dish with corn tortillas, and pointed out what else was GF at the table. Try the guacamole!!

They could not guarantee that the chips were gluten free. Ended up having chicken tacos on corn tortillas & they were delicious. Would come back!

My girlfriend and I got the nachos, and they were amazing! Best nachos I’ve had in Philly. The server was able to accommodate GF with no problems, and was knowledgeable about gluten. We also had a mojito (amazing!), tequila flight (great!), and a sangria (just ok).

Restaurant reported chio were fried wvery morning in fresh oil before any other items were fried. I ate them with no reaction. Good food.

Fryer is cross contaminated so the chips are not safe. “Tacos for 2” were delicious— came out on a skillet platter of their own. Staff seemed knowledgeable. I didn’t get sick. Would definitely go again!

They have a GF menu. Ordered the chicken tacos which were good. Our waitress wasn't too knowledgeable on how the kitchen handled the GF items which made me a little concerned. The salsa wasn't good - a bowl of tomato sauce, but the green tomatoe salsa delicious.

Great place! They fry their tortilla chips with new oil first thing every morning so they’re celiac friendly, then they can accommodate most items on the menu to be gf. The waitress was very knowledgeable. If it wasn’t so expensive I’d go there ALL the time, but we may start going just for guac & margs more regularly because their guacamole & tortilla chips are amazing.

Full gluten free menu. Had the chicken quesadillas and rice with no issues. Pretty tasty, too!!

Terrific experience. The waiter knew what was not gf on the menu and also all the modifications that could be made to accommodate. We ended up having a ‘custom’ beef quesadilla on corn tortillas. And of course their guacamole. Delicious and very comfortable and safe.
