The food was good. They had a GF cider available. Fairly priced. The server was knowledgeable about GF. We had 3 people GF in our group, and all 3 came out pretty well. Bellies were upset, but not normal for if eating gluten. We're guessing was from coming out of the boundary waters that day from a 3 day trip and eating too much good food too fast after eating camp food for 3 days. Lol. Staff very friendly and even marked in our reservation that we had GF individuals in our group.
The Ely Steak House has GF buns for their hamburgers. The Bucky Sauce is not gluten free. They were aware of individual's sensitivity levels, so some knowledge, but perhaps not a clear understanding of celiac disease. We would recommend it. We do have significant sensitivity and no reactions. Thank you to the chefs for carefully preparing our food!
