This place is a family favorite! There is so much delicious gluten free food at this buffet! We've never had an issue at this buffet and our whole family loves it, especially the gf fried chicken.
My GF husband was so excited that he was able to eat at a buffet safely! The staff was kind enough to bring him some turkey without gravy. Delicious food and a lot of choices!
Echo others positive comments about friendliness, kitchen staff, variety, and ability to get food from fresh pans. Note, they request advance notice on the web site if you have multiple sensitivities / need assistance (especially in busy season) so they can adequately plan staffing.
Had a great experience. Told attendant I was celiac he called immediately for the manager. He was awesome! Showed me the buffet which was labeled for allergies and told me to pick what I wanted. Had mine plated in the kitchen and brought to my table. Fried chicken is now gf (not labeled correctly on menu). Made now with rice flour. It was delicious as was the pot roast, parsley potatoes and green beans.
I am celiac. The staff was amazing at explaining what was available and even offered to cook something in the kitchen. Even though it was a buffet, everything is labeled and sides were arranged so that gluten-free items were together. The fried chicken is gluten free believe it or not and is amazing. I haven’t had fried chicken in 7 years (since diagnosis). What a treat. I ate too much fried chicken.
Place your order with manager 1st. It was a bit confusing ordering with the manager. She wanted us to look at the menu then they would make it fresh. Don’t forget to request a GF cookie. Took about 30 min to make it. They brought out enough food to serve a family of 8. We a small family of 3!
Buffet has allergens listed at each item. Because we have multiple sensitivities, there were very few choices for us. We asked for a manager and they were very understanding of our multiple sensitivities. She brought the cook out and she made a special order chicken breast and carrots for us. There were also fresh veggies available at the salad bar.
Very friendly staff that are willing to answer any questions. They had allergens listed above the food items. I was nervous about cross contamination since it is a buffet. But we were the 1st people there for lunch so I felt okay about it. They also have an udi’s gluten free chocolate chip cookie if you ask for it.
We didn’t end up eating here but the staff was so friendly. Oh n this restaurant they had things labeled for gluten dairy and soy allergies. They also seemed very knowledgeable and had two other places to eat on site that had gluten free options including a gf bun for the smoke house.
To get to this restaurant, you must by tickets to the Ark Encounter. Pay extra for meals at the buffet. Decent price for the buffet. Food is labeled on cards above the buffet trays indicating if the food is gluten free, dairy free, and vegetarian. I thought the food tasted great, and so did my family! We went on a Tuesday around 1:30 PM in June. Had to wait in line just to get in the place. It was extremely busy inside. You may want to try off times to eat here. Not sure if celiac friendly.
