Gluten free by request. Staff was knowledgeable. I don't have Celiac, but I do feel very ill if I have gluten. I felt great after this meal!

I was so excited to post this review earlier because the service staff was so amazing and the food was sooo freaking good; I wanted to talk about how we've been sleeping on Engrained Brewery, and honestly, I think they have a lot of potential... but I lost my cookies a few hours after eating so I know there are cross contamination issues even when they did their best 😭😭 it's just not a safe space for a celiac. I will say, this gluten free bun is legit the best I ever had! We're already ordering some for the house! It was sweet and it doesn't fall apart ladies and gents! I hope they are able to accommodate us in the future because it was tasty, but for now stay away if you are sensitive or a celiac.

Well there is very little to offer a celiac client there. I called ahead of time and they seemed very knowledgable, however when I arrived there were some things I wasn’t told. I had told the woman on the phone I wanted a burger. She said it would be safe and they even had gluten free buns, but when I arrived I realized the pork patty burger that had breadcrumbs in it was cooked on the same grill. I would assume that all their meat is cooked on that grill, so everything from the burgers to the steaks are out. Unfortunately that’s the majority of their “GF menu.” They do have things marked, but obviously it’s ingredients related and not preparation related. She did tell me ahead of time that the fries had a flour coating, and even if they didn’t they only have a shared fryer. My only options upon arrival were a salmon, which was cooked in its own tray, or a salad. The salmon was just okay and quite overpriced for the tiny piece I got. So disappointed. I explained to her ahead of time exactly what I could have and what I couldn’t and it was just so frustrating. Springfield seems to be a gluten mecca, I have had such a hard time finding any food here when I have to visit for work.

Didn’t really react to the food and the gf bun was decent for my burger. However, the burger itself just was very bland and not really worth the price in my opinion. Not a ton of gf options but they are clearly marked on the menu!

Traveling through Springfield and went here based on reviews. We were told that the fries were safe and gluten free buns were available. When our food was brought out our burgers were on gluten buns and told that they were gluten free. They did take the burgers back and asked for new burgers and fries. When they came back all they did was place the burgers on gluten free buns. When we brought this to the attention of the manger she advised that she will make sure we would get new burgers and that the fries are not safe. The fries do have their own fryer however the oil is shared and not safe for celiacs. If you are honk of going here I would caution you. They were nice and did comp the meal.

I immediately informed our server of my gluten free dietary need when we were seated. Then I ordered a Cider Boys Peach Cider. After I took a big gulp of it, I realized it was beer. The bartender made a mistake and served me some type of peach beer instead of my cider. Our server apologized. A manager came out to explain the mistake, apologize, and tell me she wouldn't charge me for my Cider. Too late I ingested the beer and already sick. Be careful! It was a careless mistake especially for a restaurant that emphasizes accommodating GF dietary restrictions.

We came during an off time so it wasn't very busy. We were treated very well. The menu was clearly marked & they had quite a few options. A + for us was used all local produce & meat (which was also marked) they did have the alcohol marked that was GF! The food came out fast & was really good. We got the special of the day which was a burger with a thousand island type sauce, onions, and bacon it was good & so was the GF bun. Husband got the fries which are safe & I got a salad which was amazing 😍 a must try!

Food was very good and fresh. I had the mushroom Swiss burger with a Caesar side salad. We signed up for the rewards problematic and will be back. The menus (both food and alcohol) were clearly marked with the gluten free options. The fries are gluten fee and amazing!!!

Menu is well marked. Service was great on Tuesday at noon. Greek Salmon salad was delicious and salmon had a nice crispy side, and the panny pan squash was fresh. I saw many more options I would like to try on other visits. Apple and Peach ciders were available. I presented my allergy card which notes my other food allergies (Soy and cow cream) and the server read it carefully and took it to the kitchen.

Avoid this place! It is awful customer service. They were not any busier than any other restaurant. They said 20 min wait. After 45 mins they sat another party after us. Tables open and a lot of staff walking around while you have a waiting room full of people. We walked out. Did not seem like the hostess had a clue. Not worth your time..
I ordered a gd wrap and it was bland. nothing to get excited about. My husband who isn't gf ordered the pot roast and he wasn't impressed either. While I didn't get glutened, it's not enough for me to go back.
Good food! Clearly marked on the menu - products from bootin gluten free market in Danville il. Would come back next time I'm in the area
Waited almost an hour for my food because they didn't have a gluten free bun... Opted for a wrap and still waited 20 minutes for that. Ordered a flatbread to go and am going on 30 minutes waiting. Food was decent. Service was awful. Don't go if in a hurry or if you expect to be waited on.
Great locally sourced menu, great atmosphere. Met the owner and he said his wife and kids all eat gluten free. Cider is amazing.
