Loved the gluten-free bread. I also loved that they did not charge extra for it, I don’t think I’ve ever experienced that anywhere else. They prepared it in a separate area. Overall it was probably one of the best sandwiches I’ve had.

Plenty of options and the staff always asks if the order is preference or "allergy". Love the sandwiches and potato salad!

The staff knew what they had available that was gluten free. My husband and daughter (both have celiac) got chili and potato salad. Both were very happy with their lunch. Everyone was extremely friendly as well. My daughter (9years old) kept thanking me for finding this place for lunch. We will come back when in the area.

It is so hard to find a delicious, celiac friendly restaurant - especially something quick. That's why Erik's DeliCafe is so perfect! The menu is very specific, the owner and employees are knowledgeable and understanding, and the food is seriously delicious. I can finally have soup and a sandwich for lunch again, without having to sacrifice flavor or pay an obscene amount!

So yummy. They must have learned from past mistakes because Contrary to another review they did ask if it was a preference or an allergy.

Staff was very helpful. Tried the hot chicken pest sandwich on gluten free bread and the tomato bisque. Both were delicious.

I ate here twice this weekend while in town for a soccer tournament nearby. The other Erik's I've visited used to ask if my request for gf bread was due to an allergy or a preference at which point they would change gloves. This location didn't ask so left me feeling less confident about cross contamination. So far I haven't gotten sick and the sandwiches were tasty. Once again, keeping my fingers crossed.

This establishment is awesome! Very clean and gluten free friendly. The sandwich was delicious and generous. I will definitely eat here again.

Delicious sandwiches and pickles. No extra charge for gluten free bread. Lots of healthy and fresh options. Prices not bad either I got a sandwich, pickle and water for $8 and change. LOVE IT!

Finally, a true, delicious, GIANT deli sandwich on gluten free bread. Not that silly tiny Udi's stuff. I'm in love with this place. If you miss sandwiches, run here.

Great sandwiches! They change their gloves when making GF sandwiches. They also have GF soups. Very accommodating!

Very careful preparation of my sandwich on GF bread always! I’ve eaten at Eric’s Deli all over the Bay Area, because it is such a dependable, safe and delicious choice. Staff are well trained and very friendly.

I am super sensitive and have been only ordering salads or soups in fear that the sandwiches are not safe. I ordered one today and feel great! I watched the prep, and they changed gloves and don’t really touch the food directly. I feel safe ordering again. Update 9/5/23: I have become a regular here and love the sandwiches!!

They have absolutely no idea what gluten free means. I asked which sandwiches we're gluten free, and no matter how many different times I asked the answer was "this bread is gluten free". I asked if the pesto on a sandwich was gluten free, "I don't know but the bread is gluten free so it's gluten free". DO NOT EAT HERE. It's sad because the one in downtown San Jose is good.
