Their menu specifies which items are GF with a green circled "G" next to it, although it warns that there's a chance of cross-contamination. They also offer any sandwich on GF bread (pre-packaged Udi's). I asked them to make my daughter's sandwich on a clean plate so that there would be less risk of contamination. He changed his gloves and used a bread board that is dedicated for GF. My daughter is extremely sensitive to cross contamination, but she had no problems afterward, thanks to their precautions. We would definitely come again!

Had a fantastic sandwich here that is made in a separate space from regular sandwiches. Thank you for not upcharging for gluten free bread!

GF options clearly indicated on menu & includes a sour or two. Cashier specifically asked if my request for GF bread was for an allergy. Great to actually have a sandwich.

The GF bread is yummy. Use the website to check specific sandwich ingredients. They have a separate prep area. Though I think the toppings are in a shared area.

Staff is very knowledgeable. Ask manager for list of Gluten Free ingredients as all meats are not gluten free. Separate GF preparation area. GF bread is excellent.

Be careful with the sauces and meats. The pastrami is not gf. The staff is somewhat knowledgable if you let them know you have a serious allergy they will double check ingredients.

My 11 year old and I just had a turkey and cheese sandwich on the GF bread. We loved it. They warmed the bread, asked for just mayo. It was nice to know there is a place to go to feel halfway normal! Thanks

I've eaten here several times and never had a reaction. It's a deli sandwich on Udi's. You can get excited about that or not. I noticed one review didn't like the mayo, I always request "light on the goo" and getting over-mayoed has never been a problem for me. (Erik's uses a mustard/mayo combo they call goo) I have never tried the gf soups.

They don't charge to change a sandwich to gluten free. My daughter says best sandwich ever! Friendly service, good food, clean and fun place to get lunch. They were quick to get our food out to us and everything was as ordered.

I had a veggie sandwich on gf bread. It was ok... Bread was pretty bland and crumbly but that is pretty standard for gf bread. It was smothered in mayo which was not awesome. Tomato bisque was good but was sitting out, risking cross contamination. I also didn't watch the preparation of the sandwich. Wish I had bc I didn't feel great afterwords but that may have been the heavy cream in the soup rather than cross contamination. Overall it was great to have options, but execution was poor.

Very careful preparation of my sandwich on GF bread always! I’ve eaten at Eric’s Deli all over the Bay Area, because it is such a dependable, safe and delicious choice. Staff are well trained and very friendly.

I am super sensitive and have been only ordering salads or soups in fear that the sandwiches are not safe. I ordered one today and feel great! I watched the prep, and they changed gloves and don’t really touch the food directly. I feel safe ordering again. Update 9/5/23: I have become a regular here and love the sandwiches!!

They have absolutely no idea what gluten free means. I asked which sandwiches we're gluten free, and no matter how many different times I asked the answer was "this bread is gluten free". I asked if the pesto on a sandwich was gluten free, "I don't know but the bread is gluten free so it's gluten free". DO NOT EAT HERE. It's sad because the one in downtown San Jose is good.
