Just ate here and I'm perfectly fine! This is the first time I've eaten out since diagnosis and I'm so glad the experience was a good one. Even my receipt says "SUB Gluten-Free Whole Grain [Bread]" and "Allergy!!!" on it. I spoke to the cashier and he assured me they have a food allergy protocol and I would be taken care of. And of course, the sandwich was delicious. THANK YOU!

I eat here all the time. All sandwiches can be made with Udi’s gluten free bread. Two soups are gluten free also.
Erik’s has a gluten free protocol so I was surprised to had been glutened when I ate at this location last 4 years ago. Came back with some coworkers yesterday, ordered my usual GF Pilgrims Progress and no reaction! Glad I can rely on Erik’s to have a safe gluten free meal! Thanks!

I get gluten free here all the time. Any sandwich can be made gluten free. They use Udis gluten free bread.
Great gluten free bread and staff paid close attention to the details!

I am super sensitive and have been only ordering salads or soups in fear that the sandwiches are not safe. I ordered one today and feel great! I watched the prep, and they changed gloves and don’t really touch the food directly. I feel safe ordering again. Update 9/5/23: I have become a regular here and love the sandwiches!!

They have absolutely no idea what gluten free means. I asked which sandwiches we're gluten free, and no matter how many different times I asked the answer was "this bread is gluten free". I asked if the pesto on a sandwich was gluten free, "I don't know but the bread is gluten free so it's gluten free". DO NOT EAT HERE. It's sad because the one in downtown San Jose is good.

This is the only sandwich shop I feel completely comfortable eating at! Owners, managers, and most employees are incredibly mindful, aware of what ingredients are and aren’t gluten-free, and take really good care to avoid cross-contamination. They have a separate prep area for gluten-free sandwiches and will cut/make ingredients from scratch to avoid cross-contamination. It’s still a sandwich shop, and there’s always a chance something will slip through the cracks, so if you’re incredibly sensitive that’s something to keep in mind. I’ve never had an issue, though, and after watching the employees work and how careful they are, I feel very comfortable eating here.
