I have eaten at Escalantes Baybrook. Their options were very slim and over priced. When asked about the table chips and salsa I got 2 different answers which made me uneasy. I got the gluten free veggie enchiladas, they were okay but not worth the price. The margarita was good. I won't be going back.

I was really confident that this would be fine based on my experience with the server and what I saw on the plate. I woke up definitely glutened the next morning though, so my guess is that they are not careful with cc and prep in the back. Food was tasty and chips use a separate fryer. My suggestion if you want to try this place is to just ask for a manager to help.

Alright. Food was good, but very limited options. Only 2 entrees were marked, and staff was only marginal for questions. Decent, but would not return.

I was excited to read about the restaurant being gluten free but to my surprise only 3 items from the whole menu was gluten free. I asked the waiter about the chips being gluten free and he looked at my like I was a snob and said they are regular chips. The same chips were left for my gluten free chips/queso so maybe yes/no gluten free. Food was good but was disappointing on the availability of gluten free meals.

Wonderful experience and food. I am a (pregnant) sensitive celiac. I don’t eat out often unless I feel completely safe. The server was extremely knowledgeable and before I even started making requests and asking questions, she assured me that the kitchen staff are well trained and would use new pans/utensils/ingredients to make my food. She brought out separate baked chips for me to eat as well as my own salsa at the table. Had chips, salsa and queso and enchiladas for my meal. Designated gluten free menu. No ill effects!

Enjoyed the new location and the same great service and food I have loved at other locations. Definitely a good stop for good Mexican food in the area.

I have been coming here for years. First of of all the ambience is first class. I love bringing my wife Mia here. The food is off the charts. If you like great Tex Mex Escalantes is the place to go. When I come here I always ask for Gilbardo. Gilbardo is very friendly and gives excellent service. He really makes you feel comfortable. If I could give it more stars I would because of severs like Gilbardo. He goes above and beyond. Thank you.

New location just opened. Great food! Table chips have dedicated GF fryer. There is no chocolate torte though :( Enchilada Suiza were awesome!
