Esselon Cafe

It is a place that serves gluten free items. Went for the first time today and I got a eggs Benedict and it was so delicious. It didn’t upset my stomach and the area was cute. But one waitress wasn’t very nice. Other employees were. So def a 4 stars for me. I can’t wait to go back and try other items.

Great little cafe! The gluten free toast was very thick and delicious! The person at the counter taking our order was very knowledgeable about which items were gluten free and even denoted gluten allergy on the ticket for the kitchen. I was also able to get the ham and a slice of flourless chocolate torte! It was a great little place for breakfast and they do have lunch. It appeared there were more gluten free items on the lunch menu than the breakfast menu. Price was very reasonable as well!

I love this place! The GF eggs Benedict is so good and they can make it vegetarian. They once lightly messed up my order (not bc of gluten) and gave me a gift card to make it up. So friendly and understanding.

We love Esselon but have to report that my son was glutened last weekend. Not clear on the source but we are really disappointed. Esselon has always been terrific in the past. We will try again for sure!! Food is delish!

They have great options I’m sure but I only ordered coffee and there was a crumb stuck to the inside of the mug that wasn’t visible until after I’d drank half of it. They offered to remake it, but that doesn’t make me retroactively less sick, Get a to go cup - they don’t wash their dishes well enough

Edit: I went back, this was an anomaly and the food is great

I’ve been eating at Esselon since they opened years ago. Now my diet is so restrictive. Today was my first time going back to get my favorites, and they didn’t disappoint. She input my order and asked questions and made sure I felt comfortable with how they were preparing my order. So thrilled I can keep going there!

Just had an awesome breakfast here. I have to eat gluten and dairy free and they are very accomodating. The GF bread is also dairy free and delicious. They have a gluten free dedicated toaster. I've eaten lunch here several times, also really good and never gotten sick. Really nice place with porch seating out back and garden seating too. Great place!

A bit overpriced for the portions, but the food is really good. Their gluten free bread is very good; they have a few baked goods. I have had breakfast before and also dinner a few times. French fries are fried in a separate frier

Bomb sandwiches, the bread is very good. I got the grilled cheese and tomato soup. No regrets. Will definitely go back in the future.

The knowledgeable and courteous counter service was worth the long wait. Afterwards I saw that you can get GF fries as a substitute for any included salad. Note the tempting GF baked goods (in the case) as you approach the front of the line.

Always great food! I eat there at least 3 times a month and they're very accommodating with my dairy and gluten allergy. The food is excellent every time!

Food is great but almost every time I go, I get told "we're actually out of gluten free bread". It would be nice if it were a little more reliable.
