I absolutely LOVED their cupcakes here! Literally the best I've had even pre-celiac. However, I just learned they closed??? Please say it isn't so!

I had called several times over 2 days (Friday and Saturday) with no answer, not even answering machine. Decided to make the drive, arriving 1 hour after posted opening--not open and no sign indicating delay. Sent message on FB and no response. Why advertise if you're not open

I have been getting my cupcakes & special occasion cakes from Essence for years. They are awesome & understand the GF requirements very well!

Cupcake options were limited but I assume it was due to the day and time. Lovely staff and wonderful cupcakes.

This place is amazing! I'm gluten free and it's really difficult to find a good cupcake place that has more then just vanilla and chocolate and that has a moist spongy cake instead of dry and gritty. They nailed their recipe here (I don't say that lightly since I've been gf for 10 years!). The nice lady behind the counter iced the cupcake when I got there so I got to choose between buttercream and cream cheese. I got a mimosa, red velvet, Mexican chocolate, and strawberry. They were all amazing and I highly recommend you go here!!! Just an added bonus that these cupcakes are not sickenly sweet!

One of my all time favorite places to enjoy a GF cupcake! Ask Betty for a chocolate cupcake with raspberry mousse filling! strawberry is my husband's favorite! Every Sunday, Betty dedicates her kitchen to only bake GF! When you get a cupcake from her , you can be sure it's completely GF!

I'm excited that I've found this hidden gem. I have a wheat allergy. The staff was very helpful and friendly. This place cured my cupcake monster with their amazing cupcakes. I tried the lemon cupcake after years of not being able to have regular lemon cupcakes/cakes. And this sweet treat was moist with a light lemon flavor topped off with lemon flavored buttercream frosting. It was awesome! Stop by try out one their cupcakes and get hooked.😃

Simply delicious! I had the GF vanilla and it was the best cupcake I've ever had! The cupcake was super moist and light & it came with a generous amount of frosting. My husband had the GF lemon and he loved it! Betty, the owner, will also work with you to meet your needs. Super friendly folks!

Awesome gf cupcakes...moist and rich tasting. Lemon is my fav. A great place to stop to get one or order a dozen for a party!

I love this place! They have the best cake and cupcakes around! They are careful to avoid cc. Also, friendly people working here. You wouldn't expect it in the garden ridge mall. It's the only place worth going to in that "mall."

Update: I bought my sons first birthday cake here and it was both delicious and amazingly designed. LOVE this place!!

They made the cake for our wedding. Not only was it beautiful but delicious! Guests raved about it, too.

This is a cake Shop that also makes Gluten free. They are very careful about cross contamination and make all of their Gfree first after thier daily cleaning. They have dedicated mixing bowls and mufin tins, as well as clutery. She said they share pans for cakes but that they are thourogly cleaned and lined with parchment on all edges to prevent any cross contamination. So now that we know they are safe they are delicious. Besides making special order cakes You can drop in an get one cupcake or a dozen they have about 8 varieties and they are the kind with filling inside. My personal favorite is the Mexican chocolate.
